User talk:SPUI/Curpsbot
To add to your statement, the bot also blocks for certain types of particularly vicious edits as well. False positive blocks in those cases are like shooting somebody because he's on an airplane and he says He Has The Bomb, ignorant, and easily avoidable. I really can't endorse this as an RFC, and I doubt it could be that difficult to avoid being blocked for pagemoves. I was curious about the threshhold myself, so I set up a testing account which only does userspace edits, none to articles, similar to Sockenpuppe if you will. I created bunch of user subpages, opened a "move page" tab for each one of them, entered a new title for each one of them, and clicked all the submit buttons as fast as I could (ctrl-tab, click, ctrl-tab, click). Nothing. I had to start over twice, as only upon attempting it a for a third time, going even faster, I was finally blocked for "pagemove..." Perhaps with the features available in your browser, you could set up a batch of, say, 200 articles of roadcruft to automatically be moved one at a time, every 10 seconds or so, instead of your usual balls-to-the-wall tempo. Then you could open up another window, and be working on fixing the double redirects simultaneously, or talking on IRC, or cooking up a TV dinner. — Apr. 11, '06 [04:10] <freakofnurxture|talk>
- Did your user subpages have talk pages? That seems to be the major issue. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 09:37, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- No, no talk pages. I hadn't considered that at the time. Seriously, is it possible to program a delay? — Apr. 13, '06 [04:21] <freakofnurxture|talk>
- If I did it would have bot qualities. Right now I'm just using built-in browser features. --SPUI (T - C - RFC - Curpsbot problems) 20:52, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

It actually blocks for edit summaries of SQUIDWARD!!, too (or used to, might not anymore), as can be seen in my block log. --Rory096 07:24, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's not. It blocked me for moving a test page to a title with "ON WHEELS!" It's annoying. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 17:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
