User talk:SOCKPUPPETEER
Welcome
[edit]Hi SOCKPUPPETEER, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for joining the coolest online encyclopedia I know of. I hope you stick around. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. Check out the simplified ruleset. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines.
- Write from a neutral point of view
- Be bold in editing pages
- Use wikiquette.
Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.
Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me on my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing 4 tildes like ~~~~. Always sign the talk page, never the articles.
Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing!--May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) 10:06, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your great {{PAGENAME}} mail-mergesque welcome message. I remember way back, when I hadn't become the Sockpuppet king, that I too was given a welcome message, which was so utterly impersonal it was nigh on worthless. I blanked it. It's like receiving a Christmas card from your company, automatically generated unsigned half assed seasonal greetings. It means noting. Now, maybe for a newbie, some of those links above would have been good reading, but come on, you knew that the SOCKPUPPET KING, most feared of sockpuppets is no newbie. Just taking a look at my user page would have given you some indication that I knew how the wiki works, still, edit count + 1 eh? - SOCKPUPPETEER 23:59, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- What*? How can this guy be accused of being a pupetmaster just because of his username?!? It's cruel and unfair! I would like to know who put that there and give me the evidence of this!--Calvinsupergenius 19:07, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, he has admitted to being a puppetmaster. So you can assume he is one. The Republican 01:56, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- I believe this page was started up as an example to Wikipedia:Sockpuppets. ☺ The pathetic APclark Be nice not nasty 14:41, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- So he isn't an actual user? The Republican 19:53, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Odd.
[edit]Okay, so he isn't an actual user? Weird.
What?!
[edit]Who is this guy?! Nobody is even has this user. Maybe the computer is controlling it!
Whats the Deal?
[edit]Who is this guy if he's not a real user. What is he? 23:57, 6 April 2006 68.194.16.14 (UTC)
An empty account under nobody's control? Perhaps similar to if someone created an account with the name Fake User for the sole purpose of this wikipedia guideline article not having a red link. 16:19, 8 April 2006 200.44.6.195 (UTC)
Yes, just like User:Example. --Gray Porpoise 21:14, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
