Proposed deletion of Approaches to anti-oppression
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Approaches to anti-oppression, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Reads like an essay - violation of WP:NOR
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Approaches to anti-oppression
[edit]I have nominated Approaches to anti-oppression, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Approaches to anti-oppression. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Nick—Contact/Contribs 19:14, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- Just as a heads up, I userfied your essay to User:SOCI3430/Approaches_to_anti-oppression. Feel free to edit it from there. If it passes AfD, you can just delete it. Livewireo (talk) 20:58, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
(moving this from my talk page) sorry did you mean to say that you changed the name of the entry to USER:SOCI3430/Approaches to Anti-Oppression?????? I am a little confused —Preceding unsigned comment added by SOCI3430 (talk • contribs) 21:03, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, URLs do not have spaces in them. There are underscores. Just click on the link I posted above and you can freely edit the essay and it will be saved as part of your userpage where it can not be requested for deletion. If you have any more comments regarding this, leave them here, I'll watch your talk page. If you feel that the essay is ready for movement back on to the mainspace, let me know and I can show you how to move it. Livewireo (talk) 21:11, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
(moved from my talk page again) thanks for all your help just for further clarification I can use the new USER page you created for me as it is also searchable according to the title of the new entry, but NOTHING WILL BE DELETED becasue it is CONSIDERED a 'talk' page?????
- It is not searchable as an Article, but people can still search for it under User pages. It is not a talk page either, it is part of your User page. So its yours to edit as you wish. If you want other editors to take a look at it, you can make a request at WP:EAR. Also, please make sure you sign all of your posts with 4 tildes (~~~~). Livewireo (talk) 15:28, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
