Musical genres

[edit]

Hello. Please do not serially change musical genres on a lot of pages. For a discussion of the many, many years of many, many users spending all of their time on Wikipedia doing this, please see WP:GENREWARRIOR. It's not a productive use of your time. Chubbles (talk) 03:28, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake I forgot to put my source SFCME (talk) 05:21, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Vein.fm, without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view and genre warring are considered disruptive. Thank you. Bowling is life (talk) 12:20, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You changed the genres I have already put the source for. Fleshwater is referred to as alternative metal similarly to Deftones. Vein.FM is metalcore or beatdown hardcore but their genre has to be more broad. You reverted all my edits without warning that I spent time on and actually put sources for like TRUSTcompany. SFCME (talk) 16:25, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How can my source for fleshwater be unreliable when the same site was used in the article before by other people and you didn't change that either, only mine. SFCME (talk) 16:29, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SFCME: I don't see everything and I don't have the time to remove every unreliable source that gets added to this site. Plus, I have never edited that article until now. Bowling is life (talk) 16:50, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yet you only deleted mine and then reverted TRUSTcompany again, when it was first alternative but genre warriors change it to rock and when i change it back, i'm somehow in the wrong for protecting the article. SFCME (talk) 21:01, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SFCME: Well, that's because the lead genre is supposed to be broad. It is standard practice to describe bands as broad genres like rock instead of alternative metal. See band described as similar genres: Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and Godsmack. All described as rock in the lead. Plus, you keep adding post-grunge without a source, removing the sources that I added, and you keep restoring an unprofessional note that a different editor added on this edit. This edit war needs to stop. Bowling is life (talk) 23:32, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Trust Company (band), you may be blocked from editing. Continuing the same disruptive edits without explaining and after multiple warnings is not acceptable. Bowling is life (talk) 23:04, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Everywhere that mentions Trust Company calls them alternative. I’m just keeping it the way it was but you keep changing it. You also accused me of sock puppeting when the other account clearly is different from mine. Also tried to change my edit for Narrow Head for being “a bad source” even though it’s from revolver magazine. Keep changing bands to rock then. SFCME (talk) 03:46, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
According to AllMusic (reliable source), “ Alternative metal outfit Trust Company (also referred to as TRUSTcompany and TRUST*CO) formed in Montgomery, AL, circa 1997 around Kevin Palmer (vocals/guitar) and Jason Singleton (drums).” And the other rock genres are far below the Alternative Metal genre which is at the top next to nu metal. 2 metal genres before all the small rock influences.
