Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes. Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advise, please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into you signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. Filk Roundabout
[edit]So I see you deleted my note on filk. I sort of wish you'd mentioned to me that you didn't like it! I'd loved to have discussed it with you!
As it is, how do YOU break the circle on that argument? If filk is anything sung at a filksing, then is anything sung at a filksing filk? and what, then, defines filk from a musical/stylistic/subject matter perspective? Anything? Or is it merely the cultural and physical that define filk? Is "Inna Gadda Da Vida" filk, if played at a filk sing?
Just curious - as I've been trying to figure out filk for nigh on 4 years now!
