A tag has been placed on User:SDGstaff, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Speedy Deletion

I see that my article was tagged for speedy deletion based on the contents promotion. I hope you will give me some time to edit the page. I got the idea to create a company page on Wikipedia from a magazine article. I just started this morning and I have never used Wikipedia before, other than reading. I copied a lot of text from my company's brochure and I plan to edit the text to read as a history. I have no intention of promoting the company, only providing some source of facts about the company on the internet. I hope you will allow me the opportunity to finish editing the content before deletion.
If it is inappropriate to create company page on wikipedia, then I apologize. As I stated, I do not wish to promote the company, such as having contact info or current event info. I only want to add our history so someone searching can find it.

I just found the article wizard and the requirements for notability. I do not think I can meet those requirements. Please advise on whether I can continue or if I need to delete this article.

[edit]Hi. I know being knew to Wikipedia you might be finding it tough to understand some of our policies. Actually, you can have company articles on Wikipedia. But those companies have to be what we term "Notable". Now what is 'notable'? For that, do kindly read Wikipedia's guidelines on company notability>> WP:ORG. Also, I am sorry to tell you that at Wikipedia, we do not allow company names to be used by users. To that effect, your user name will be blocked by me in one minute. I would suggest you do not get demotivated by that and just create a new user name and go back to working on making new articles. But you should know that we have another pretty strict policy out here called conflict of interest, which basically mentions that you should not edit or create articles on topics with which you are directly associated or would have a conflict of interest. Can I request you to also read our policy on conflict of interest here >> WP:COI. Oh, when I block your user name, you'll see a box below with instructions on how to create a new user name.
