Ducati 1198 claimed horsepower

You might want to join the discussion on this at Talk:Ducati 1198; if you notice, the figures in the article are a mess anyway, regardless of which ones you believe. There's 1098 numbers confused with 1198. As far as manufacturer claimed horsepower vs. independent testing, there has been a lot of debate over this in the past and there is no magic right answer. Currently we mark inflated claimed numbers as "claimed" and accept independent tests without special comment. If independent test disagree, we list them all, as at Suzuki Hayabusa. If you'd like us to take a different approach, I would suggest starting the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Motorcycling. Edit warring without discussion is not helpful.
