Fair use rationale for Image:Sinclairlogo.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sinclairlogo.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Sinclair Community College copyright violation
[edit]Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Sinclair Community College. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Some of the material you added was lifted verbatim from a page on Sinclair's web site, for which a GFDL-compatible license does not appear to be available. The material was removed. —mjb (talk) 06:45, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Sinclair Community College neutral point of view
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Sinclair Community College appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. The material in question was written with a promotional, non-encyclopedic tone, as if for marketing literature. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a brochure. —mjb (talk) 06:45, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
