Hello Doctor de Guzman, your relative left me a message on Friendster. Here are some tips on how citations are provided on Wikipedia, hope this helps:

You may begin with these common ones:

All you have to do is plug in the pertinent information after the "=" symbols, depending on your source (web, news, paper, book or journal). After that simply append the ref line after the sentence you wish to provide a citation for. Make sure you place it after punctuation. Below is an example from the Silay City article:

In early writings, the settlement was also referred to as ''"Calubcub"'', ''"Caracol"'' and ''"Caraco"''.<ref>{{cite book

The code above will display the following line in the article itself:

Notice that a footnote marker - [1], takes the place of the ref code. In order for the actual bibliography-like References section to be displayed, you need to add the {{reflist}} template under the ==References== or ==Footnotes== section, as is seen below.

The reflist template will display the line below in the article itself:

Notice that if you click on the footnote marker (the [1] after the period in the sentence), your view is taken to the corresponding line in the reflist and that line is highlighted. Clicking on the caret before the author's name takes your view back to the sentence with the footnote marker. You can trace references and citations in this manner within an article.
