Wikipedia editing
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. As a new editor, you are expected to be familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I would encourage you to review these policies and especially those help pages designed to help new editors and the page on what Wikipedia is not. Specifically, Wikipedia is not a means of self-promotion.
Upon reviewing your recent edits to the Allan Markin Wikipedia page, I will be reverting a number of your edits because they fail to meet Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sources and neutral point of view. Should you disagree with my edits or edits of any other editor, this can be discussed on the Talk:Allan Markin page. If you fail to follow Wikipedia's rules and if an edit war occurs, Wikipedia has a dispute resolution process that you should be familiar with.DivaNtrainin (talk) 00:46, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
The guidelines clearly state: "Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous." The material you continually post from the CBC's "investigation" is not only one-sided and inflammatory, it is also subject to a current defamation lawsuit. There is also no other source that says the same thing. To publish it as fact, especially without neutral and factual material to balance it, is a violation of this guideline, at least in spirit if not also in letter. At the very least, perhaps we should wait for a judge to decide if the material CBC published is, in fact, factual and balanced.
