Vonnegut's death

Even though your reading of the rules is correct, I still think his death needs to be mentioned. There was agreement at WP:ITN/C that his death may be significant enough to merit inclusion on the main page. Also, we're starting to get readers questioning Wikipedia's silence on the issue here and here. I think this is a case of WP:IAR, we've got someone who although they didn't die in an unusual or tragic manner, was clearly extremely important... RyanGerbil10(Упражнение В!) 17:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

This is not an unusual or unprecedented situation. Whenever an iconic figure dies under ordinary circumstances, people unfamiliar with ITN's purpose (as well as some who are overcome with emotion) are shocked and appalled to see that his/her death isn't mentioned. I disagree that it would improve or maintain Wikipedia to appease such individuals by bowing to systemic bias (the fact that Vonnegut was very famous and popular among Americans and other English speakers) and including an item pertaining to an ineligible occurrence warranting a one-sentence article update. —David Levy 17:27, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Deletion request

Hi. Normally I'd just add a "db" tag, but since these two are connected, let me tell you about them here. Ioan Adrian Teaha you'd previously deleted on the 11th but was re-created three days later. Social corruption, as far as I can tell (unreferenced), is just something he came up with. Thank you for your consideration. Biruitorul 02:53, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem - thank you. Biruitorul 02:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

My RfA

Hi RyanGerbil10/Archive 12 and thank you for your support on my recent request for adminship. Unfortunately, the request failed, however I aim to improve the concerns that were brought up and hopefully bring myself up to the standards of admin. Once again, I thank you for your support. --KzTalkContribs 12:27, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Not sure how WP feels about user-talk pages, but that page you deleted is also cloned at User:Aesa-aerospace and User:Rmitaerospace (not sure if they intended to recreate it if it got deleted, or AingGF they just wanted to post it in "many places" to get the word out. Delete of Frigtard

I have been trying for about an hour to figure out how to nominate for deletion the word "frigtard" that redirects to the NRA, but I am not sure what I should do. Can you delete it like you did the article on "frigtarded".

Edited to add: Thanks for the help.

Dougdeal 20:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Hallo, please make your decision about deleting of CoP reconsider.

Notability voting is maked to hasty and therefore with exactly false impression and with that result as done. Almost all votes are argued with absence of reliable sources or external links. I maked this later, but majority of voters make the vote and no more look to the voting. Hm ? Some of external links I later added was for example, Novell, some university websites, etc.

I know, admins have no time and must quickly make decisions ( Finally I'm one admin too :) ). Many decision about notability was correct, but this was wrong.

Please, undelete this article and his talk page.

Thanks, --Kaster 09:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Please undelete the article All India Federation of Organisations of Democratic Rights. Note that the source of the text, www.marxists.org, is public domain. --Soman 14:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Speedy delete of CoP

Thanks! I try to organise that. --Kaster 09:11, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Removal of CSD tag on Air Peru

Dear RyanGerbil10,

My name is Thor, and I am the user who tagged Air Peru for speedy deletion. The user who created the article, was making the article sound like an advertisement for the company, and as the tag clearly states, if he had any objections, he should have placed {{hangon}} on the page, and then listed his reason on the articles talk page.

Unlike the {{prod}} templates, you must not remove CSD tags from articles without discussing the issue first. The only people who can remove CSD tags from an article are an administrator, when they make the decision whether or not to delete a tagged article, or the user who put such a tag there in the first place.

My decision still stands that the article looks like an advert for a company, and it also falls as being extremely short. I intend to retag the article again, and I would ask you please not to remove the CSD tag again. You may disagree with it, but say why on the talk page rather than removing things that you should not! Thor Malmjursson 22:41, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

RFA thanks

Thank you, RyanGerbil10, for your constructive comments in my recent RFA, which passed with 86 support, 8 oppose, and 5 neutral !votes. I will keep in mind all your suggestions and/or concerns, and will try to live up to your standards. Please, if you have any comments or complaints about my actions as an administrator, leave a note on my talk page, and I will respond as soon as I possibly can, without frying my brain, of course.
Thank you once more,
· AndonicO Talk
