re Str8jackit.

[edit]

Hi Ruzihm,
I saw your post on 24.4.101.72 (talk · contribs)'s talkpage regarding Str8jackit (talk · contribs). FYI, I noticed that there is also a STR8jACKiT (talk · contribs) account, inactive since Jan 2009. Any connection between them? Thanks for defending anon IP editors too. (I've been editing for 9 months, fortunately I have a static IP. I suspect though 24.4.101.72 has already changed IP, or is editing from another location) And I know, "I should get an account". Regards, -- 220.101 (talk) \Contribs 20:30, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your appreciation :B . I don't think the two str8jackits are the same. STR8jACKiT (talk · contribs) seems to have actually made legitimate contributions. The other was strictly to promote a band of the same name. As long as STR8jACKiT (talk · contribs) doesn't edit any articles about a band of the same name, I don't think we can reasonably assume it's an account that violates WP:COI or WP:NOSHARE. -- Rick Van Tassel user|talk|contribs 22:01, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh hi again, fluke that I still had your page open and refeshed it, as I was going to go to bed 58 mins ago! (UTC +10 here so I have been up all night (not to mention last night and the night before and .... ) and I really need sleep. Some 'gooses' said if I register they will nominate me for admin. in a month or two! Ugh! Saw some nice templates in your contribs there ie.{{subst:welcome-anon-vandalism-fighter}} never saw that before, I'll have to steal it! See ya round! --220.101 (talk) \Contribs 22:22, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,
the wub (talk) 17:41, 14 June 2012 (UTC) (Delivered using Global message delivery)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
