What happened there was of no use. There is no point getting into some edit war with a blocked editor on their own talk page. Alert an admin, and leave it be--in the end, the only thing it accomplished was a dozen more edits that needed to be revdeleted. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 02:37, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

@Drmies: Pretty late to bring that up, but I did "alert" an admin. I wouldn't say there was no point; I figured it was a good idea to revert personal attacks wherever possible. If you look at the history, you might realize I "let [that] be" after like five minutes of the "edit war"; though last time I checked, reverting obvious vandalism wasn't considered edit warring, but, anyway, thanks for whatever this is the advice. —RainFall 04:40, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests for page protection

Just leave his signature. The user behind the ip was alternating between .180 , .177 and .179 of the ip range. Also other ip that have same behaviour pattern, either himself/herself or member of tag team. As well as he never use his user talk and just blank it, let him leaving his desired ip (either .180 , .177 and .179 of his choice) as sign. Matthew hk (talk) 06:00, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

Also, your "reverts" are tagged as mobile edits; AFAIK, Twinkle and Huggle don't run on mobile. IP addresses, banning

Sorry to start here to address my issue, but did not know who else to turn to.

For years, simply made edits anonymously. Then recently, when attempting to edit, noticed my IP blocked. Where might I discuss this issue, and also get advice on what to do to prevent future probs? Evidently, someone else was doing edits via my IP address. No one has access to any of my devices, so I am a bit perplexed as to how this occurred. Perhaps that issue is not even relevant, though. I am assuming that this IP issue occurs a lot nowadays, and that individuals are simply encouraged to sign on when making edits.

I would like to clarify that I did create a user account. Although that is fairly self-evident, as I am writing you from this account.

@Apt411: Hello. I don't see much of an issue here. It's common for IP addresses to be "shared" by multiple people using the internet from the same area as you. As you haven't mentioned the IP in question, I'm assuming, and it is very likely, that someone else used the same IP (not the same device) and got themself blocked for their "unconstructive" edit(s). By creating an account, you've done what was needed to be done to "prevent future probs." Now that you've created this account, FWIW, I suggest you have a strong password and remember to log yourself out or use private mode if you use Wikipedia from a public computer.
