Good work so far! I love the inclusion of addresses and phone numbers for each of the nonprofits and organizations that you have listed. The nonprofits are presented in a non-biased manner, and the information is strictly factual. It is also helpful that you chose to include brief, concise descriptions of each organization and its specific mission, or services offered. This information is extremely helpful for Camden residents who may visit the page to find what opportunities or forms of assistance are available to them. You also are doing a good job citing all of your sources. My suggestions for continuing with the article would be adding to the intro section, and trying to find any data related to the nonprofits and organizations in Camden, whether that be profit amounts, how many volunteers are used, etc. The layout is on the right path, you just need some solid facts and numbers from neutral sources to really bring the article together as a strong, informative resource. Another suggestion would be to include the history of philanthropy and nonprofits in Camden, and/or a brief history of each organization, or at least the most prominent ones, such as the Neighborhood Center. I think it is a great idea to really narrow it down and do some research on which places have the greatest impact or richest history, in order to showcase the most worthy causes.Hmb97 (talk) 19:52, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Hmb97 (talk) 19:42, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
The philanthropy section is definitely starting to come together. Now, we just have to get down to the details and elaborate on the various organizations. It will also be a meaningful way to reach the word requirement by adding some of the groups and nonprofit organizations that the community partners informed us of last week. We also have to watch out for and start to proofread everything that we already have before the final move to main space. This section of the page will be a great inclusion to a huge part of Camden, and fill a great void. We definitely need to really start digging into the Neighborhood Center and Cathedral Kitchen, as they are the two showcase nonprofits of the section and are the most well-known. It may be difficult meeting the word requirement, but there is still plenty of room for more information and expansion. The biggest hurdle will simply be finding sources (and the time) to complete everything over the next week. Google scholar has definitely proven to be a great, reliable tool for the section and we can continue to explore our list of Camden articles as well. As we add more to the body of the page,we will also need to include the brief summary of that to the intro section. Another thing left on the To Do list is to add media. I know you talked about taking an original photo of one of the organizations, which would be great. I will also add the logos of The Cathedral Kitchen (and maybe) The Neighborhood Center. We should also keep in touch about the possibility of including that mural of Camden and the bridge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hmb97 (talk • contribs) 22:17, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
