Re: Omar Amanat
[edit]Protect messages should be at the top; among other things, it's easier for admins to keep track of what's being protected. Thanks. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 23:46, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Your edits to Omar Amanat
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Wiki policy is to avoid using edit summaries to carry on debates or negotiation over the content or to express opinions of the other users involved. This creates an atmosphere where the only way to carry on discussion is to revert other editors! Instead, place such comments, if required, on the article's talk page. This keeps discussions and debates away from the article page itself. Chuckiesdad (talk) 21:38, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Houdova Bazaar.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Houdova Bazaar.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 01:06, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Helena elle.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Helena elle.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:53, 25 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 02:53, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Edit summaries
[edit]It is quite unacceptable to use edit summaries to make personal attacks on other editors. It also does nothing to resolve any dispute you may be involved in. This is a norm of our community, and you should make no such attacks in future. Charles Matthews (talk) 15:49, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
