Netherlands

[edit]

Hello! Just letting you know that I moved the text you added about tax havens down a bit in the article. I did not remove it. Please make sure you do not engage in WP:edit warring if somebody objects to an edit you make. Instead, start a discussion on the talk page: Talk:Netherlands. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 18:58, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discussions of ethnicity

[edit]

Hello,

I've noticed that many of your edits involve adding mention of individuals' Jewish ethnicity to their bios. That is helpful so long as there are reliable sources to back this up (I haven't checked in all cases). But I saw that in the case of this edit to Jeffrey Kaplan (academic) 1) there was no source backing this up, and 2) you added the ethnic identity to the lead, which is contrary to the guideline MOS:ETHNICITY, which states:

Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless relevant to the subject's notability.

Please take care only to add well sourced information to the encyclopedia in the future, and only include ethnic information in the appropriate place in biographies, which is typically the "early life" section. Thanks, Generalrelative (talk) 03:57, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Blond. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 14:52, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Blond. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Unacceptable behaviour to call me racist for reverting you, if you make another baseless personal accusation like that, you will be reported. TylerBurden (talk) 14:54, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain how my edits to the article were my own personal views violating NPoV rather than current consensus. I did not add commentary, my own personal analysis, or my own point of view on Blond. Rather, I added current scientific consensus. Racism is not acceptable, and antiracism is not "my own point of view". Please refrain from undoing edits without providing accurate and reasoned analysis, rather than blanket statements. Ruler in Peace (talk) 17:58, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Blond. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. TylerBurden (talk) 18:25, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No I am not, please read the talk page in Blond. Ruler in Peace (talk) 19:33, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Blond) for a period of 72 hours for Edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  EvergreenFir (talk) 05:59, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
