- Hi Rudy. Welcome back. I would suggest to change the organisation of the article. Gathering the different minds of the historians on the conflit, I realize they quite agree (on 3/4 phases). In fact, this is the way people show their conclusions that generate controverse. As in the article in fact...
- phase 1 : first wave of flees
middle and high class flees the combats and the unsecurity roughly 100,000 pappe reports everybody agrees this is morris theory this is also israeli official version I don't know what khaladi says (but assume that pappé would have stated if khalidi disagreed) gelber agrees khalidi agrees
- phase 2 : following daleth
only really controversial phase - israeli government and karsh : due to arabs's call - gelbert : result of the wars + collapse of palestinian society - morris : result of the war + effect of daleth plan + "transfer idea" - pappé : resulf of the war + master plan and its application - khalidit : master plan and its application
- phase 3 : lydda and ramle
- israeli governement : result of combats - all others : chase of population
- phase 4 : october campaigns
- israeli governement : no comment, events are not related - Gelber : ? - Morris, Pappé : ethnic cleaning

I see your point. Are you suggesting arranging this article by phases rather than by theories? This has merit (because than we can show what the differences between versions are), but on the other hand, we lose the complete view of each theory and its internal logic. Maybe a short comment on the status of agreement/debate among scholars on the event of this phase? than we can have a massive shortening of the "theories" section (as I have already noted on the talk page).Rudy Wagner 08:40, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
