DYK for And Those We've Left Behind
On 20 November 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article And Those We've Left Behind, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Fringe episode "And Those We've Left Behind" marked the first time actors and real-life husband and wife Stephen Root and Romy Rosemont had worked together on a creative project? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/And Those We've Left Behind. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

"Wallflower"
Ruby,
What kind of "reliable source" do you think is necessary for an addition such as the one I used in the article? I was quoting dialogue directly from the episode.--Antodav2007 (talk) 01:52, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
Hello, I've noticed you've done a little recent work on this article (it's on my watchlist) and was wondering if you had any tips--I began working on this article in hope of FA a while ago but abandoned it because I could not find sources for everything and I had trouble working with the tables. I also noted the table does not look like most in the accolades list articles. Glimmer721 talk 02:44, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- I agree it deserves to be FL but needs clean-up. I mainly went to the official websites of each group/award to find the sources before. In the "Guilds" section of FOTR I noticed there's a problem with the "Producers Guild of America" line but I don't know how to fix it. I also think there should only be 3 tables; the separation is unecissary. I'll put in as much work as I can, as I'm awaiting several GA reviews and don't have a major project to do in the meantime. Glimmer721 talk 03:27, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- That's okay. I think we should model it after List of accolades received by the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise because that's the same format (multiple movies); even though it's not a FL (it failed because of questionable sources), the format is very good. Glimmer721 talk 23:25, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
Lost
To see some more activity on Lost (specially as I'm postponing improving The Man Behind the Curtain for your proposed topic), I nominated The Constant for the FA. Can you take a look? Thanks. igordebraga ≠ 12:20, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
After/along with The Constant, there's also this that you could help me with. igordebraga ≠ 17:44, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

LOTR accolades
Great work! I was thinking we could have the table less wide so the picture flows to the right of it...like List of accolades received by the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. I'm not sure how to do that. I was also thinking we could use a picture of Andy Serkis instead for Two Towers because he won several awards and the way Gollum was done was groundbreaking. I'm going to add the critcs awards to the first two films if possible...this ref may be a problem as it does not list the nominees. Then we need to go back and look for overlinking...should the awards be linked again in every table? Glimmer721 talk 17:07, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Any idea where to find Online Film Critics? I found this but it does not list all the awards and noms. I'm not sure how reliable this is.Glimmer721 talk 23:25, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks; I would add them to the article but I'm not sure who the recipients would be, especially for "Best Ensemble Cast". Thoughts? Glimmer721 talk 02:12, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- I believe I have finished sourcing all of the awards. What more needs to be done? I'd like to start on that infobox thing, but I'm not quite sure how. Glimmer721 talk 20:26, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'm having some trouble with the Czech Lions: there isn't a section for Best Foreign Language film on the nominee section of the 2003 awards on their website but according to IMDB there should be. Also don't see a mention of Foreign Language film award on the Wikipedia page for the Czech Lions, the Czech Wikipedia page, or the Czech page for the 2003 awards. Is this something that should be removed? Glimmer721 talk 20:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, Duke of Caxias
Hi, Ruby. You reviewed my articles before, but I don't know if you would like to do it again. I've recently nominated Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, Duke of Caxias. Since you're a great and reliable reviewer, I thought you would do a pretty much good job. In case you're interested, the nomination is here. Kind regards, --Lecen (talk) 18:40, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

AfD isn't an appropriate venue to ask for the deletion of a userspace draft. Simply place {{db-u1}} on the page to tag it for speedy deletion. —SW— confabulate 00:41, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

GAs
Hey! Just a friendly reminder that, once you have passed an article through WP:GAN, to actually list it at one of the WP:GA subpages. I listed Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts under WP:GA/A (it was set as social science/society in the GA template, so that might need changing?). Thanks, —Andrewstalk 04:35, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. Well, it was actually another user who raised the issue of unlisted GAs at Wikipedia talk:Good articles#Uncategorized articles, again. Feel free to fix one or two. —Andrewstalk 05:12, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
Welcome to the 2012 WikiCup
Hello, and welcome to the 2012 WikiCup! The competition officially begins at the start of 2012 (UTC) after which time you may begin to claim points. Your submission page, where you must note any content for which you wish to claim points, can be found here, and formatting instructions can be found in hidden comments on the page. A bot will then update the main table, which can be seen on the WikiCup page. The full rules for what will and will not be awarded points can be found at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. There's also a section on that page listing the changes that have been made to the rules this year, so that experienced participants can get up-to-date in a few seconds. One point of which we must remind everyone; you may only claim points for content upon which you have done significant work, and which you have nominated, in 2012. For instance, articles written or good article reviews started in 2011 are not eligible for points.
This round will last until late February, and signups will remain open until the middle of February. If you know of anyone who may like to take part, please let them know about the comeptition; the more the merrier! At the end of this round, the top 64 scorers will progress to the next round, where their scores will reset, and they will be split into pools. Note that, by default, you have been added to our newsletter list; we will be in contact at the end of every month with news. You're welcome to remove yourself from this list if you do not wish to hear from us. Conversely, those interested in following the competition are more than welcome to add themselves to the list. Please direct any questions towards the judges, or on the WikiCup talk page. Good luck! J Milburn (talk) and The ed17 (talk) 17:55, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
