Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Rst88. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Reed Stewart, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jmertel23 (talk) 14:59, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
The article Reed Stewart has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
There is no indication that the subject meets notability guidelines for musicians.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jmertel23 (talk) 15:02, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Reed Stewart
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Reed Stewart, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ignorant dont know how to correctly edit , wont use my own website Rst88 (talk) 12:44, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
If that's true, it is reason enough to keep you blocked. You will need to address the reason for the block and tell what you will edit about to be unblocked. I am declining this request. 331dot (talk) 12:55, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

i want to do right by you. I understand that sourcing my name / website as a reference for the article was incorrect , as well as sockpuppeting was wrong but i'm wondering if I can have an article on myself without any references of my own website, and little to no press for referential purposes. --Rst88 (talk) 06:09, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Until your account has been unblocked, nothing is going to happen. The only authorized use of your talk page is to make an unblock request as outlined above. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:47, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
UnBlock request
[edit]Rst88 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I fully understand that my account was blocked for violating guidelines for musicians of using self sourced (Kickstarter) And my website as references for my own article . I now have numerous articles of outside press that I will use, as sources if you can have my block removed
Decline reason:
It appears to me you are not here to help build a free encyclopedia and that the reason for blocking you still stands. kingboyk (talk) 22:13, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Could you help me understand what I must do to unblock in order to contribute to an article the correct way? I know now how to contribute correctly but I can’t understand your answer. Can you direct me to how I can remedy this? I’ve been a supporter of Wikipedia and of wiki commons since 2003. I thought the correct way to appeal blocks is to state reason why block occurred. Thanks Rst88 (talk) 22:21, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- You were blocked for being a "Promotion / advertising-only account". Your unblock request states "I now have numerous articles of outside press that I will use, as sources if you can have my block removed". In other words, you're still here only to write about yourself and not to help us build an encyclopedia. I'm not sure there's anything you can do to get unblocked if your goal is just to create an article about yourself. --kingboyk (talk) 22:36, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
