You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Keith Clizark, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi and thanks for your message on my talk page. Wikipedia doesn't exist to "give people credit" - it is as an encyclopaedia which contains facts that are notable and verifiable, backed up by reliable, independent sources. If these can't be found, then the article will be deleted as this one was. Please don't re-create it again. If you are able to find better sources in the future, then the best suggestion would be to create a draft article which can be worked on over time and receive feedback from other editors, meaning it is much less likely to be deleted. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 14:17, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. If you create a draft, I'm happy to have a look and give some feedback or help you with formatting etc before you submit it for review. Just let me know when you're at a stage when you've done that and want me to have a look. If you have not already started, the best starting point is to go to WP:AFC and follow the steps, making sure you read the advice given along the way on how to make sure your article will meet the guidelines, and then creating a draft. In regards to your other question, a WP:WIKILINK will be in blue only if there is an article on the person in wikipedia to point to, which in Clizark's case there is not as yet. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 01:04, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Response

[edit]

Hi and thanks for your message on my talk page. I have moved the article to draftspace as it is not yet ready to be an article and would likely get deleted yet again. You need to slow down and understand what needs to happen before the article is ready. You said that you waited for community input and got none, but as far as I can see, your draft submission was not accepted, you got feedback on why, then you recreated it in your sandbox and within 12 hours moved it back to mainspace as an article. That is just not enough time to allow other editors to help. There is no rush on wikipedia. I will have a go at editing the draft over the next couple of days, and I suggest you also take some time to work on it as well - you have not yet correctly understood how to add references and format articles. I'm not sure that you have established notability either. Please read the articles linked to, and maybe look at some other articles to learn how wikipedia works. Thank you, Melcous (talk) 13:03, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for responding. I went back and removed all of that page and started completely over. Could you only edit/use the last page I submitted and I do appreciate your help.Rroneice (talk) 13:09, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. At the moment there is both the draft in your sandbox and the draft article. If you would like one of these deleted so that you can work on the other one, then please place the following tag on the one you want deleted: {{db|author}} Cheers, Melcous (talk) 13:39, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, sorry I'm not an administrator so I can't remove the block on the page sorry. You need to submit your draft for review and then once it has been reviewed and found to be ok, an administrator can make the article available. However, if you are talking about Draft:Keith "Clizark" Clark, it is not yet ready for review. I did the first reference for you, but the rest have not been properly formatted. You need to read WP:CITEFOOT and use the <ref> tags to create them properly. The information in the first paragraph is also too much - see WP:LEAD. Much of that should be moved to other heading such as "Early life and education" and "Career". Melcous (talk) 13:22, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again and thanks for your message. You have done some good work on tidying the article up and fixing the references. There are still a couple of places where you are missing the <ref> tags, in the section Early life after "Flashlight" and after "3D". Also, according to the Manual of style headings (e.g. Early life) should only have the first word capitalised, so you could fix that. With the first paragraph, you do not need a heading - that will be the lead section. You should, however, bold the name of the article in the text. Finally, what you need to do next is wait for your draft to be reviewed. Andy M. Wang has submitted the draft for review on your behalf, and you will see from the notice that this can take a couple of weeks, so be patient, and do make those little improvements while you are waiting. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 23:37, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
