Ralph Warren Victor Elliott
[edit]Dear Rozazor, thank you for you additions to the article about Ralph Warren Victor Elliott. I assume that you must be a friend or relative of Prof. Elliott, and therefore have firsthand knowledge of his death. However, for obvious reasons, Wikipedia does not allow statements that someone has died to be added to articles unless they are backed up by a reliable source. For this reason I will revert the mentions of Prof. Elliott's death until it is announced in a news source or on the ANU web site. If you can point to any reliable source confirming his death it would be very much appreciated.
In addition, I have concerns about the photograph of Prof. Elliott that you uploaded. Whilst we would very much like to have a photo of Prof. Elliott to illustrate the article, all photos must be properly licensed or in the public domain. In this case, the uploaded photo indicates that "This work has been released into the public domain by its author, Ralph Elliott", but the copyright owner is the photographer not the subject, and the photograph has been taken from the biography of Prof. Eliot at the ANU. The ANU copyright page clearly states that "no material available from the ANU site may be copied, reproduced or communicated without the prior permission of the ANU" so it is likely that the photograph is not suitable for use on Wikipedia, and will be deleted. I hope you understand, and if you do have any photos of Prof. Elliott that you took yourself, and thus own the copyright of, I hope you will upload it the Commons.
