User talk:Ravin9976
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Royalavenuemedia, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Fiddle Faddle 17:55, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

It is done already
[edit]Please see Draft talk:Bukkehave You are welcome to make a fuller declaration on that talk page, below it. State in simple terms what the conflict is. Fiddle Faddle 16:30, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
What does "It is done already" mean? Can I say simply, "Ravin9976 is a social media consultant who has formatted the information given to him by the company for the purposes of this page."?
- Yes. And look at the top pf that talk page and you will see what is meant. Fiddle Faddle 17:09, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Your affiliation to Bukkehave/Draft:Bukkehave
[edit]"Ravin9976 is a social media consultant who has formatted the information given to him by the company for the purposes of this page." What does this mean? They're paying you to write an article about them? If you are creating this article for money, I urge you to declare it, in accordance with our our Terms of Use. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:00, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- So if I changed it to say
"Ravin9976 is a social media consultant who has been paid to format the information given to him by the company for the purposes of this page", would that suffice? Are there any other issues with the page? Ravin9976 (talk) 15:06, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes that would suffice. The main problem is the whole article lacks sources, and seems promotional in general. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:19, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Stitched up heart
[edit]Hello Ravin9976,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Stitched up heart for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Okamialvis (talk) 13:55, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Bukkehave
[edit]Hello, Ravin9976. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Bukkehave".
In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. 1989 (talk) 21:52, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ben Gallaher
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ben Gallaher requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.redlightmanagement.com/artists/ben-gallaher/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 18:17, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Ravin9976, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Ben Gallaher have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 18:18, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
The band's name is simply The Sisterhood, not The Sisterhood Band, as used in video, promotional materials, and articles about the band. The name of their website imay be thesisterhoodband, but that is only a url, not an official title. I will move the article back to the correct title. Also, please stop adding copyright violations in any form: images, text, or otherwise. --Animalparty! (talk) 17:55, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
Ways to improve Carlton Anderson
[edit]Hi, I'm Doomsdayer520. Ravin9976, thanks for creating Carlton Anderson!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thanks for your new article on Carlton Anderson. "Notability" is an issue because to qualify for Wikipedia, musicians usually need to receive notice in major media outlets and/or achieve chart success. Evidence of this for Anderson may be present in the sources that you have already used, so it might be possible to expand the article with more information on how he is notable. Good luck!
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Disambiguation link notification for April 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ernie Haase, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Broadway (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:11, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Resistance Cover Art.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Resistance Cover Art.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:15, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Wuf Shanti Children’s Wellness Foundation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wuf Shanti Children’s Wellness Foundation, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.educatingmindfully.org/resources. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Dps04 (talk) 18:10, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Progress on Ben Rector stuff persists
[edit]Hello again! I'm still going forward on working on Ben Rector content. I'm currently planning to see just how much Ben Rector content I can rewrite before February; since The Joy of Music progress has ramped up recently, rewriting Magic and creating articles for A Ben Rector Christmas, "Range Rover", "Old Friends", and The Old Friends Acoustic Tour. Other articles I might make are "What Makes a Man" and "The Thanksgiving Song" which have notable coverage.
The hardest of the articles will probably be Ben Rector itself. Right now it's a comprehensive list of everything he's done but it still needs all the details about him specifically. You've done a great job putting these pieces together, but is this a complete documentation of the stuff he's done? Like, is this not missing any tours he's featured on or special shows and stuff like that? To me it looks like it but I wouldn't know what's missing because I wouldn't be looking for it in my research otherwise. If it is comprehensive then I thank you deeply. If not let me know what comes to your mind that's missing so I can add it, and I still thank you deeply for your work otherwise. Panini! • 🥪 03:28, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
