Hello! Your submission of Jiddat al-Harasis at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! I am surprised too.--Nvvchar. 01:42, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
I have edited some. Two other users have also edited it. Please see if more is needed.--Nvvchar. 01:14, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

Excellent job correcting issues with this article! Thanks for taking the extra time to copy edit and simply remove confusing sections; I think the article is fine now for a DYK, and the topic is important and too long missing from Wikipedia with a nice and useful article in English. --(AfadsBad (talk) 16:24, 5 October 2013 (UTC))

Shall I nominate Mozart's birthplace. Any suggestion for hook?--Nvvchar. 01:45, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

{{Avocado production}}

See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Rosblofnari/Industry templates. I say list as many commodities as you can think of and create templates!♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:09, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes, sourced stubs a few lines long are better than nothing of course. I also created Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Capital city templates a while back which might interest you with the purpose of trying to cover landmarks in each capital city in an organized fashion.♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:52, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes, especially as they're unlikely to be actively worked on. Maybe create start class articles on the top 2 and some meaty stubs on the rest. Admittedly, I can't say the subject of agriculture really gets me wildly excited, but I think it is important work and it is more exciting to tackle a range of articles on different crops by country rather than focusing on one for several weeks I think. It can be fun though if we pick an exotic country and a fruit or veg, but only in small doses among our other work! I don't want to suddenly work on five different case studies in one go! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:42, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Can you kindly help Template:Did you know nominations/Sara Chapman Bull in c/e and and also include your name in the credits. I have done some c/e but I am not sure if it is adequate. In John Henry Wright I have added two references to Personal life section as the were missing. Pl check if they are OK. Also please see if the Article on Mysore Dasara 2013 is good for posting on DYK. Thanks.--Nvvchar. 05:27, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Hehe LOL, now that's an award I never thought I'd get!! I thought the caption "Thankyou Aunty Rosie, we're happy Mexican avocados" would be a bit too much! Anybody else seeing it probably thinks I'm a weirdo because they wouldn't get it hehe! I'd imagine a happy avocado to have bright pink hair, although one might start to question his sexuality, or think that they're punk rockers or something! If we do Lettuce production in the Netherlands I may well put clogs on a lettuce mwoahahah! Yes, it's valuable stuff, if we try to do one or two a week this would be great! I watched a documentary a while back on Lettuce production in the Netherlands which is extremely well planned and efficient.♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:26, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

De nada, but yeah there's probably not too many of those given out on any wikipedia!! I've been expanding Wadi Halfa and found a steamer named Nubia and started SS Nubia. Unfortunately it seems there are several of that name, I hope I've got it right. See the photo in the book in the Aswan one it's obviously a small one, not like the others. Perhaps they should be split into separate articles like SS Nubia (1854), SS Nubia (1895). Care to look into it if you're interested? I'll find some photographs to upload shortly.♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:58, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

That's a function I use all the time and without it I'm lost. There's probably an easy way to do it but I can't figure it out.--Ipigott (talk) 12:13, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Try your "dangerous" notepad and pencil button again and click match case...♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:39, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

See if you can sort out Template:Copenhagen. You'll have to click edit at the top of the page rather than on the template though. Compare with the Skagen template and add Copenhagen landmarks accordingly.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:19, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Dr. B and I seem to have had the same idea at the same time. I had just invited Ramblersen to put together one or more navboxes for Copenhagen as he has certainly written more articles on the city than anyone else. I have now drawn his attention to this discussion. I was wondering whether we should adopt the approach used for Edinburgh. There is one main template for the city itself and separate templates for districts and transport. I also note that several European cities (e.g. Berlin) have a template that actually turns up sets of lists on most of the items but I don't think this is really necessary for Copenhagen. Once you have a skeleton, I could help to fill in the items.--Ipigott (talk) 10:16, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Don't worry about this particular one then Rosie. What we could do is create a cluster template for Copenhagen. We could unify the district templates or whatever and build it into one big template set at default close (as it will obviously be big). ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:39, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

How about something like {{San Francisco}}? --Rosiestep (talk) 14:43, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

I think San Francisco is designed first and foremost for people living in the city or county with all the government services, etc. In the case of Copenhagen, I think we should be addressing the interests of English-speakers visiting the city or wanting to explore its history, institutions, culture and landmarks. So as originally suggested, the Skagen approach is not too bad but I still prefer Edinburgh with slots on the history, governance (perhaps Neighbourhoods and administration), buildings and landmarks, economy, health and education). I suggest we start on that basis, perhaps adding additional slots or even navboxes if we need them (in addition to the ones that already exist). Maybe we could also develop more lists. We already have List of museums in and around Copenhagen, List of Copenhagen Metro stations, List of buildings in and around Copenhagen and List of lord mayors of Copenhagen. I'm still spending most of my time adding citations to the article but can help with templates too.--Ipigott (talk) 16:44, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
I'm wondering if it is really necessary to have one big nav bar. I think it gives a pretty good overview to have different ones for different subjects, such as Template:Copenhagen theatres, Template:Copenhagen churches etc. Compare also Template:Glasgow museums and Template:London history.. What I had imagined was to have a "geographic" (district") and a thematic nav bar on each page. But a lot of articles are of course of minimal interest to the average reader so maybe it is more useful with one big nav bar that contains the most important articles.Ramblersen (talk) 23:54, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

{{Glasgow}} has the following side bars: History, Politics, Geography, Culture, Transport, Education, Religion, Sport, Attractions, Health. Is that what you were thinking for Copenhagen? If yes, we can sort out sooner rather than later what to put in each of those sections. Also, what I like about the SF template are all the links along the top (mostly "list of"); what if we added that element into the Copenhagen template? --Rosiestep (talk) 05:28, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

My main point is that I think there are too many articles to fit into one big nav bar, I personally prefer them not to become too comprehensive and structurally complex. I therefore prefer separate nav bars for different subjects. The links in the top of the SF nav bar seems a good idea to me too if one big Copenhagen nav bar is made.Ramblersen (talk) 12:22, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Either Glasgow or Edinburgh seem to be good models to follow for Copenhagen. I see that in both cases, the LH side bar links either to articles which themselves have navbars or simply to categories. So let's proceed on that basis. If we do not have articles or lists for the side bar topics, we can link to categories. I would however suggest separate items on Museums, Churches and Landmarks (or Attractions) on the main template as these are items of interest to visitors.--Ipigott (talk) 14:42, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Rosie Thanksgiving permitted you might be interested in finding more on Ibb. More in the Britannica source. German wiki also has more which might be translated.♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:09, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Excellent! If I'm honest though I'm not a fan of the arms images in it, I think it makes it look a bit cluttered. Maybe just a nice photo of the nicest monastery on the right or something? Red link em all from Spanish wiki and I'll help you out if you like unless you want to do it alone!. If creating the Bien de Interes articles can you make sure you add or link the titles in the lists. There's still some missing ones and most of the existing ones are barely started!♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:43, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

I was at the local high school the other day and noticed that the picture from the article was on the wall. When I went to look I saw that the writing with it looked familiar. Sure enough they had just copied the article. I mentioned it to the vice principal who was a little annoyed. However, she said she wasn't surprised because they have kids who can't write a daily journal but can produce excellent reports like that. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 14:06, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Yes she was going to talk with the student. Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 17:19, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Can you try to add a bit to this from the first Spanish source? I read somewhere that the Castell was completed in mid 1551 by a different engineer after his death but can't find where it said now!♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:25, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Looked in flickr and USAID, couldn't find anything I'm afraid.♦ Dr. Blofeld 23:19, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

After being waylaid by the QR Bremen project, I finally managed to add a bit more on Mary Randlett. Sorry it took so long.--Ipigott (talk) 15:55, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Sculptor

I am the granddaughter of sculptor Adolph G. Wolter. I recently came across your information and thought I would touch base with you.

In my own research about my grandfather, I have come across loads of information, articles, pictures etc. This includes where most of his stuff is located. If you are still researching. let me know and I may be able to assist. I am on Facebook so you can just pm me!

Hello Anne. Thank you for reaching out to me, but as I haven't worked on your grandfather's article, I'm unclear why you want to share the information with me? I don't do Facebook, so if you could reply here, that would be best, or send me an email (you should see a tab at the top of this page named "user" and when you hover over it, you should see "Email user"). If you let me know about the additional resources, I can see if they are appropriate for expanding the article on your grandfather. Best, --Rosiestep (talk) 03:58, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

This edit made my day!

I have your plate pinned on my desk for all to see by the way :) SarahStierch (talk) 06:43, 21 December 2013 (UTC)
