Proposed deletion of "The Wicked Son by David Mamet"
[edit]The deletion of an article you created, The Wicked Son by David Mamet, has been proposed for the following reason:
- Um...what is this article?! But it's probably a copyvio and somewhat biased and borderline vandalism
You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.
Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Judeo-Christian
[edit]Please stop slavishly copying all this material about the history of America.
There are lots of articles elsewhere on WP about American history. The Judeo-Christian article is not one of them. It is specifically about the phrase "Judeo-Christian", and how it has been used.
The material you are adding is not based on discussing how the word phrase has been used. It is extraneous to the article, and already covered elsewhere -- namely in the articles you are cut-and-pasting it from.
ClovisPt (talk · contribs) and I have both reverted this material as being out of place. Be aware of the Wikipedia editing convention Bold - Revert - Discuss. If editors object to what you're adding, please stop and discuss the matter on the talk page, if necessary asking further editors to come and give an opinion, until a consensus has become clear. Don't just push on adding it regardless. Jheald (talk) 14:01, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
watch list
[edit]{{helpme}}
Hi- I have Judeo-Christian on my watchlist. My own edits are showing up, but those of fellow contributors (ie jheald) are not.--waldenpond (talk) 18:06, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Rosedora
- Your watchlist will show only the most recent edit to a watchlisted page; since you're the most recent editor on that page, your edit is the one that shows up, but you'll see it on your watchlist again when someone edits it next. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 19:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
What to do when one person disagrees and deletes your contributions
[edit]{{help}}
What is the procedure after you've put something in, another person takes it out, you discuss it one talk page and simply disagree? it seems pointless to just put it back and have it taken out again. how do you get more people involved?--waldenpond (talk) 23:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Rosedora
- I assume you're talking about an article that got deleted and you think it was unfairly deleted. In that case, Deletion Review is what you want. Also, please put new talk page posts on the bottom. Ten Pound

Actually, its what to do when someone deletes part of an article - a new section, or even paragraphs under an existing section.--waldenpond (talk) 02:08, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Rosedora
