You and User:Lar

[edit]

[1] This isn't going anywhere productive. Can you leave it please? If Lar feels you are wikistalking you, whether you think he is right or wrong, the right response is to back off and give him some space. Please let this drop. Thanks --Guinnog 01:01, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since you moved it out of your user space today, I moved the nomination to the April 4 section. Regards, howcheng {chat} 00:07, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Herbert dyce murphy 38008.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Herbert dyce murphy 38008.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. —Pilotguy cleared for takeoff 23:33, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Herbert Dyce Murphy

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 9 April, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Herbert Dyce Murphy, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Hi Roscohead, I added a Copyvio tag to Herbert Dyce Murphy because I was worried it may violate the copyright of The Australian Disctionary of Biography. Biography by S. Murray-Smith Kaid100 14:44, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't want to be an admin?

[edit]

I noticed the user box which indicated you didn't want to be an admin... is that something that you would consider reconsidering? I only ask because I've noticed you doing a bit of tidying up, fixing small errors, that sort of thing, and it occured to me that adminship might be your sort of thing... but then I visit your userpage and... well... there's that userbox. I have to admit that I'm puzzled. Anyway, I hope you'll consider reconsidering. Elliot Pratt 12:04, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's a great idea! Not only do you grok wikipedia, you have a deft hand in dealing with others, and are not likely to go on a spree, but with the admin bit you could semi protect your userpage, and edit other semi protected userpages if you detected errors on them. Lar's talk page

[edit]

Lar has asked you to stop posting to his talk page. Please respect that. NW (Talk) 01:59, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And he continues to bad-mouth other editors while weasling out of answering any tough questions himself. And since when is "Stop editing my talk page." a request??? RoscoHead (talk) 02:16, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It really doesn't matter. He has the right to tell you to go away, and he is invoking it. You may not like it, but you really are going to have to respect it. NW (Talk) 02:23, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see now. It's OK for him to bait/troll editors on "his" talk page because if any questions are asked, he can just tell everyone to go away and leave him alone? Seems TOTALLY reasonable to me.
BTW Larry, I'm completely OK if you want to answer my questions here, but I'm not holding my breath. RoscoHead (talk) 08:04, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
