Titles, honours and post-nominals
[edit]Hi Rosarrob, it takes quite a while to become familiar with the various guidelines in Wikipedia. One of the areas that originally surprised me was that there is quite limited use of titles, honours and post-nomimals. As you are working on biographies, I recommend you read: WP:MOSBIO. One particular point about post-nominals is that they are generally only used in the article about the subject, ie in other articles a person's name will not be followed by the post-nominal. This is set out in the last sentence of the section MOS:POSTNOM in the manual of style for biographies. This means you should revert your last edit to Violet Bowring. Just go the the revision history for the article, and there is an "undo" link against your lastest revision that you can use to revert the change. Cheers Marshelec (talk) 01:42, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Many thanks Marschelec. I wondered if the MC for Royden was pushing it. THat was the one I think?! I'm still struggling with some web references and been a bit slow on it. My cataract op is now on 10 Aug but hope I can have Walter finished by then.
- Appreciate any help and keen to learn!
