Article issues
[edit]Hi. I noticed that you created an article entitled The Raf-like Kinase ILK1 and the High Affinity K+ Transporter HAK5 Are Required for Innate Immunity and Abiotic Stress Response. I'm not quite sure what your goal was, but bear in mind that you should only be creating articles in the mainspace like this. A note page should probably be created in your sandbox. I'm not sure where I have created it, where have I created it, and how do I go about putting it onto the mainspace. I had thought that I had just put it my sandbox to work on.
Article issues - more
[edit]Hey Rop22, I'm sorry but I think you've made a mistake posting the article The Raf-like Kinase ILK1 and the High Affinity K+ Transporter HAK5 Are Required for Innate Immunity and Abiotic Stress Response. Let me explain.
One of Wikipedia's principles is that we only have articles about topics that are notable in themselves - the paper you're writing an article about isn't notable in itself, the kinase enzyme and the transporter protein are, so I marked that page for deletion. Your article in your sandbox, on the other hand, is right for Wikipedia and I think we'll be happy to accept it once you're finished writing it. I'd just delete the first heading and it'll be more or less ready to publish under a title like "HAK5".
Happy to discuss further if you have more questions. Blythwood (talk) 21:05, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Hey, I'm so sorry, I seem to be very confused, my teacher has assigned us a project to chose an article from a list she formed, we were to chose one of those articles and write a summary for it.--Rop22 (talk) 21:17, 31 August 2017 (UTC)rop22
- OK. What exactly have you been asked to write an article on? I've just done a bit of editing of your sandbox page and I'd say that's nearly ready to post now. Blythwood (talk) 21:21, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- What you've added looks good. I'd say it's ready to post now if you want. Just move to HAK5. Blythwood (talk) 21:41, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Okay perfect, thank you so much Rop22 (talk) 21:42, 31 August 2017 (UTC)rop22
- Great. You look at the top right of the article, go to more, move and then to HAK5. I can do it if it won't let you. Blythwood (talk) 21:51, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The Raf-like Kinase ILK1 and the High Affinity K+ Transporter HAK5 Are Required for Innate Immunity and Abiotic Stress Response
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Raf-like Kinase ILK1 and the High Affinity K+ Transporter HAK5 Are Required for Innate Immunity and Abiotic Stress Response requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PKT(alk) 17:07, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Once again, we do not accept Wikipedia articles on individual scientific papers unless they're announcing the structure of DNA or something like that. Use your sandbox to draft. We do accept articles on proteins. Blythwood (talk) 18:41, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
