Tom
[edit]Thanks for the kind words Roisterer. I have not been on Wikipedia of late (I study and work full time) so have not been able to add, but you have continued writing. When are you are going to build one up for featured status? You have the talent and a bit more.
And Tom's "longest leader" claim — South Australian legend it appears, but I believe I read it most prominently in Cockburn's book. Oh well. Michael talk 05:35, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Sydney Deane
[edit]Impressed with the factoid one the Brewster's Millions article about him being the first Australian actor in a Hollywood movie, however, IMDb lists his place of birth as Austria! Thoughts/comments? Lugnuts (talk) 10:12, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looking good - yes, hopefully it can be listed on DYK too. Lugnuts (talk) 10:43, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Port Adelaide
[edit]I'm just following what we've been doing for the last two years, I agree though that it's not even close to being ideal. Previously we had of course a category called 'Port Power players' but when the Victorian clubs and the Crows were changed to 'Football Club' in a bid to follow wiki conventions, Port was changed as well. Up until that point, the category 'Port Adelaide Magpies players' was used for the SANFL players before and after 1997 and the Power for the AFL players, so I'm just continuing with that.
Basically if we're to be thorough on this, we would need three categories. One for the Magpies (post 1997), one for the Power, and one for Port Adelaide (pre 1997). If you put guys like Quinn in the FC category then we're going to have the SANFL and AFL players all mixed together.
Would you agree with -
- Category:Port Adelaide Power (for the AFL players)
- Category:Port Adelaide Magpies (for post 1997 SANFL players)
- Category:Port Adelaide Football Club (for SANFL players before 1997)

Laurie Nash photo
[edit]Hmm, according to the photo you added, Nash appears to have a very odd bowling action. --Roisterer (talk) 12:22, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I uploaded at commons on the same name and commons takes precedence. So I had to resnap it. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 02:04, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Great photo of Nash. It is a long term strategy to build Nash up to FA/GA status so I was wondering where to grab another picture or two of him. There is a biography of Nash that I am trying to track down which may contain other treasures. --Roisterer (talk) 01:17, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- I was also wondering if you had more info about Keith Miller's football career. Keith Miller is a bit thin on that, although it's more the daughter articles that need help. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 02:50, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:South Australian premiers.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:South Australian premiers.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:13, 23 October 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Damiens.rf 16:13, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Cricinfo
[edit]Hi Roisterer. I remember you saying somewhere that you contribute stuff for Cricinfo. How did you get into that? I was hoping to get into things like that. I doubt it will happen though. YellowMonkey (click here to choose Australia's next top model!) 06:11, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi there Roisterer. Grahamec gave me your name as a recent producer of a Australian GA. Well, we're within striking distance of 200 GAs at the moment and we decided to have a go at getting to 200 by the end of the year or Australia Day, same as the 100 drive last year. Hope to see you there at WP:AWNB/A and WP:AWNB ! I guess [[Laurie Nash] would be a good candidate! YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 05:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Taman Shud
[edit]Dear Roisterer, many thanks for your kind encouragement complimenting my editing of the Taman Shud article. However, you are the best and your contributions are far more erudite and better referenced than mine. The honour all goes to you. I have nothing to add to the article at present, and therefore go ahead and nominate it whenever u wish.Bletchley (talk) 00:00, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
