[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. It should be noted that every one of your edits since registering for Wikipedia has involved the addition of links and references to a particular site. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. In addition, it would be appreciated if you could indicate if you have a connection with the site in question, as that would directly relate to our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you in advance for your assistance with respect to this matter. Ckatzchatspy 03:21, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Again, it is important that you identify if you have some connection with the "tvonmedia" web site, as every one of your edits involves adding links to that site. Please stop, and take a moment reply to these questions, as you have so far ignored the warnings posted here. Otherwise, you may risk the loss of editing privileges. Thank you in advance. --Ckatzchatspy 06:45, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Having further investigated this matter, it is now clear that these links serve no useful purpose other than to promote the site in question. "TVonmedia" (formerly known as "Order DVD TV Shows") does not appear to meet the strict requirements of the reliable sources guideline, and your actions violate the spam quidelines. Please stop adding these links. --Ckatzchatspy 07:22, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your note. Unfortunately, Wikipedia has some very strict guidelines with respect to the use of external sites as either references or external links. The "TVonMedia" site does not meet the requirements of our reliable sources guideline, and we do not generally permit external links to sites unless they provide a definitive benefit to the article. This should not be misinterpreted as a slight against the site; simply put, there are millions of web sites around the planet, and we cannot act as a directory service for them. As such, I would ask that you stop adding links to the TVonMedia site. You are, of course, encouraged to contribute to the site in other ways. Please feel free to ask more questions if you would like. Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 02:03, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:04, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
