Hitchhiking
[edit]Hello! I'm going hitchhiking through Japan for a month, and I found the picture of a girl in Luxembourg with your name attached here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Hitchhiker-Luxemburg-1977.jpg For some reason, I'm enraptured by it. Who is this girl? Why was she hitchhiking? Were you with her? Where did you go? I suppose that, in lamenting the modern ubiquity of convenience stores and internet cafes, it's easy to get wrapped up in romantic notions of hitchhiking through Europe in the seventies. --Ross (boredrevolutionary [at] gmail) Borkingchikapa (talk) 15:01, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Hi -- Thanks for making your picture of the circular wave available under a copyleft license! I wanted to let you know that I've used it in the cover of a book: http://www.lightandmatter.com/cp/ The book is dual-licensed under the GFDL and CC-BY-SA licenses, and you are of course properly credited in the photo credits section in the back of the book. -- Ben Crowell (crowell06 at light and matter dot com)

Grimsvötn
[edit]Rather useless of me telling you this, but your photo of Grimsvötn just convinced me to fly to Iceland later this year. Beautiful stuff! tyx 10:41, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Reincarnation research
[edit]Hi, I've noticed your name come up on a few pages associated with Reincarnation research. I, too, have an interest in that area and just thought I would make contact.
I also like your idea of deleting user talk entries after one month and wonder if I could use the little yellow template you have above on my user talk page please. -- Johnfos 20:53, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly - feel free to do so! --Roger McLassus 09:19, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Roger McLassus. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Roger McLassus~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
