Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Rodeoqueen24, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Sand Creek massacre, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Additionally you added content about a book on the topic. Sources should be used to cite content, and should add something new to the article. There is no reason to just add a mention that someone wrote a book if it isn't somehow used to cite the content. Otherwise it comes off as possible WP:CITESPAM or WP:COATRACK. Please read up on WP:IRS and WP:RS - these will give you some guidelines on sourcing articles. Best. - CorbieV 22:39, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
