Hi , there is a report opened at the BLP noticeboard here regarding an article you have been contributing to, thanks Off2riorob (talk) 18:32, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I have tried to explain what's going on with the Benjy Bronk sock puppets on that page. I also agree that the article is probably about someone who isn't notable enough for an article in the first place.Rockypedia (talk) 19:59, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Opera in German

I wasn't aware of that article, Opera in German, agree that the lead should be structured a bit, and will watch now ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:33, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

I suggest to drop the first image, showing an opera house from the side. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:35, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
I agree, but I have never edited/dropped images on wikipedia before. I've been a text editor until now. I'll have to do some reading I guess and figure it out! Rockypedia (talk) 18:14, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
You could just drop the first one, - you will find it ;) - I will look later, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:37, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Pinhead (Hellraiser) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • }} The film was almost universally panned, one going so far as to criticize the new 'pseudo-pinhead',

Overlinking Nigeria

Yes, well. I think I saw the first reference to Nigeria in "President of...". If you don't count that your ref is the first sole one linking to just the country name and should of course be kept. Sorry about that, I have reverted this error. Britmax (talk) 20:04, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Actually, your edit did draw my attention to the fact that it might be better to have the word "president" link to "President of Nigeria" and then move the Nigeria link to the first mention of the country - as in President of Nigeria - what do you think? Is that type of linking in the lead allowed? Rockypedia (talk) 20:39, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
As President of Nigeria has its own article I wouldn't go for that. But it would be a very close run decision. Britmax (talk) 20:49, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I meant the word "President" in the lead would link directly to "President of Nigeria". Hover over the words "president" and "Nigeria" and look at the links to see what I mean: President of Nigeria ------- Rockypedia (talk) 20:52, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Glasson and Pennington

Your latest edit to the article for Pennington, New Jersey removed Gregory S. Glasson as a notable. In your other recent edit for East Haven, Connecticut, you added a fact tag regarding the town's Italian-American heritage. Presumably, you believe that there sufficient reason to believe that the material is true, but that a reliable source is needed. Based on the content of Glasson's article and based on various sources available online that don't meet the reliable source standard, I believe that there is sufficient reason to keep Glasson in the article, but that an appropriate source is required. I can assure you that I reviewed every part of your edit to the Pennington article, and that I tried my best to explain each element in my edit summary, without making what you call a "blanket revert". Alansohn (talk) 02:42, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Actually I was just assuming good faith on the part of whomever added Glasson to the notable people list, in that he was, in fact, from Pennington. I added the citation for Glasson's work with Seal, which I would think also needs to be cited. Why would that citation need to be removed?Rockypedia (talk) 13:28, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

NBCSN

Rocky-- I'm sorry that I didn't respond to your inquiry of November 4. I had been away from Wikipedia and hadn't logged in for awhile. I deleted the redirect page called "NBCSN". That will clear you now to move the article to that title. Mandsford 18:51, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

personal attacks are unwelcome

See this diff And in responding to your edits at Identical (film), looking does find this film released and sold on DVD at Amazon, Redbox and other sites. I am not requesting you correct you erroneous edits, only pointing out that simple confirmation of information existed even if not used within the article. Schmidt, Michael Q. 02:10, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I agree that personal attacks are unwelcome. Not sure what that has to do with me, since I was just pointing out your recent votes were all keeps. If that constitutes a personal attack in your book, I would opine that the problem lies in your sense of perception. I can't crawl into your head and see what's going on in there, sorry. Rockypedia (talk) 20:12, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Your statement at that AFD did not say my "recent votes were all keeps", but instead and purposely said I was "100% in favor of keeping every article about a film or actor that appears on Wikipedia" when that is quite in fact false, and purposely cast aspersions upon me because of the areas where I lend my expertise. As you herein readily admit you can't crawl into my head, you do well to not write such without actually doing some homework. As you apparently have some ability to research, I can only infer that this set of libelous allegations was an intentional fit of pique. Apologize and strike. Schmidt, Michael Q. 02:03, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Whoa whoa whoa. Ever'bod jes settle down, please. Rockypedia, came over to ask you about sources, since you seem to know something. Agree with Schmidt that your comment was personal ... discuss the content not the contributor and all that ... but disagree with Schmidt that it was an *attack* obviously. Pretty clear you two do not always see eye to eye. But this sounds like sniping back and forth, which is no help to anybody, least of all somebody like me who has WP:NOCLUE about the film-related articles, and especially about the film-related-sourcing-problems. May I suggest, Rocky, that you pull your WP:CRYSTAL statement, predicting that Schmidt will in the future always vote bangKeep on everything, and your allusions that they are WP:COI? Let the poor misguided inclusionist anon make my own judgment call about Schmidt, rather than trying to save me from falling into the clutches of Schmidt! As for you Schmidt <narrows eyes> your evil scheme to corrupt me has been <eyes spring open> hereby revealed! And, umm, doesn't seem all that evil. Take it easy, we iz all friendz here. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 01:09, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

ANYWAYS...... So, had no idea the UPI was sometimes (always?) bogus. Is this documented somewhere? And to my mind, I thought that rotten tomatoes *did* count as a source of Notability, and in particular, as a source that DVD distribution had occurred. Is that wrong? Or to put it another way, do they have your art-house-video Rocky, and various high-school projects from around the country? <joke> <humor> <smiley> <happy> <noBitey>  :-)   IMDB is user-upload-stuff, I know that much, but I thought RottenTomatoes was user-voting (kept separate from critic-voting of course), but only-editor-approved-editing-slash-entry-creation. Like Schmidt, some WP:GOOG effort convinced me that straight-to-DVD was pretty much the case. I did not find the festival-promo-thing, and while it would not count towards WP:N it would conceivably count as WP:ABOUTSELF slash WP:NOTEWORTHY if the festival itself was mentioned in some noteworthy-or-notable places. Anyways, it looks like the dedicated article is prolly heading out of mainspace and back into PrincessK's userspace, but there might be enough sources to put the film into a sentence of the Asner article? Or is that not the case either? Thanks. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 01:09, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Sleeping Dogs

Hey, thanks for your contribution to the Sleeping Dogs article. Is there any possibility that you would do an editing collaboration? Like editing an article with another editor with objectives til you get it to GA. If you do, Sleeping Dogs is almost GA. Contact me if you are interested. URDNEXT (talk) 12:50, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

NBCSN

  • I agree that it should reflect the current name. What I did was to mention the 8/8/13 date of renaming at the very top, and moved your citation to that spot, along with an explanation (by analogy, CNN stands for Cable News Network, but the longer name is the redirect, and the abbreviation is the article title. Whether Paterno had knowledge of 1998 investigation and whether Paterno's alleged knowledge in particular was the reason for revoking wins

Please see the discussion I started on the Paterno talk page concerning your reversions of the Paterno page. Srj4000 (talk) 04:02, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

I see that you have again undone some edits that were recently made by ThemFromSpace. You have removed citations to more recent news articles and you keep putting back citations to older articles and re-using sentences from back when the Freeh report was first released. I think newer articles are more objective and neutral since some of Freeh's conclusions have now been questioned in the past few years. I'm sure more changes will be necessary as additional evidence is produced and tested later when the court cases of Penn State administrators begin. Please explain why at this point you feel it is necessary to state definitely that Paterno knew about the 1998 investigation instead of saying more neutrally that "Freeh concluded" that Paterno may have been informed about 1998 based on Freeh's interpretation of what the athletic director had written in emails to university administrators. Stephanie Rawlings-Blake NPOV Violation

Your latest edit of the Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Wiki demonstrates a violation of the Wikipedia Neutral Point of View (NPOV) guidelines. Edits stating that a certain view is a "mis-interpretation" violate this guideline. Future edits should observe Wikipedia guidelines or else you may face disciplinary actions up to and including a Ban from editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.31.2 (talk) 15:22, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

On the contrary, my edit was referenced and used the wording in the referenced article. Deleting both that edit and the accompanying reference, however, was a clear move by you to paint the mayor in a more negative light. Rockypedia (talk) 15:45, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
On the contrary, posting biased statements outside of a quote and as a statement of fact demonstrates a violation of the Wikipedia Neutral Point of View guidelines. As much as I'm enjoying your anonymous threats, I think it's time you actually read up on some Wikipedia policy. Try these: WP:NPOV, WP:OR and WP:ANON Rockypedia (talk) 16:42, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
On a related note, the quote from Fox News was not from an editorial article. Look at it before vandalizing my pertinent addition. I agree, get back to reading up on Wikipedia policy. Your disagreement with one of their reports does not make it an editorial article, nor does it make it any less pertinent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.31.2 (talk) 16:44, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
If you cared enough to create an account, I would point out exactly how you've combined the truth with half-truths, cherry-picked single words, and used that skill to promote your right-wing point of view. However, you're posting as an anon IP, and I'm done wasting my time arguing with a ghost. It's clear you're not interested in improving the article; rather, you're trying to make a living person look bad, a clear violation of WP:BLP. Have a good day. Rockypedia (talk) 21:45, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
At least you acknowledged the truth in what I've said. Have a good one! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.31.2 (talk) 11:53, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
It's good that everyone's happy. You're satisfied with my response to you here, and you're no longer able to post your twisted interpretation of an out-of-context phrase on the article you were defacing. See, everyone wins! I would still encourage you to create an account, as there are numerous benefits associated with doing so, and perhaps you'll learn something along the way. Rockypedia (talk) 12:46, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Some opposers of this move have now contended that there is a "Critical fault in proposal evidence", which brings the opinions expressed into question. Please indicate if this assertion in any way affects your position with respect to the proposed move. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:37, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Check your talk page, Mr. Trump. I'm leaving it there because it's part of the full quote. The original source had omitted it, as had many sources online, so I'd calm down if I were you. Rockypedia (talk) 21:03, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
