[edit]Hey RockfordRoe, your request for adminship isn't going to go anywhere, and I would recommend withdrawing it — I did note this part of your request though:
I'm currently seeking those rights because there's a persistent vandal on RationalWiki that I believe may be related to Supreme Genghis Khan, so I would like to see any abuse filters that can be useful for my wiki
We may be able to help with that. Which edits do you think are SGK? -- TNT (talk • she/her) 20:48, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- The vandal appears almost daily, but under IP addresses instead of usernames, and I believe that they rebranded themselves as "The Walrus". Here's an IP with edits from today and a edit that matches some descriptions of their LTA from 2021 albeit using a deleted photo of Kyle Rittenhouse instead of Osama bin Laden or Genghis Khan. - Eh, I think you might just be dealing with a run-of-the-mill vandal there—I'm not sure our specific SGK filters would help based off of those edits.. (also y'all need to update your MediaWiki install!) -- TNT (talk • she/her) 21:41, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- The MediaWiki update project is pretty disorganized at this point and none of the people that have access to the server hardware are active. There is a test instance of MediaWiki 1.35, but there's still some 1.27-specific extentions we still have to work on. RockfordRoe (talk) 05:38, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:41, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
