[edit]

Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page RI (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation do's and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, which should not end with punctuation
  • Use only one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry, and avoid red links
  • Do not pipe links—keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links

Thank you. Dawnseeker2000 18:34, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

re: Ri Disambiguation

[edit]

If a "Disambiguation needed" template is left near an ambiguous term we'd be looking for someone to go the the disambiguation page linked to and located the specific item there to put in that link's place, thereby eliminating possible confusion to the reader. But, since there was no entry on the page that could help with that, I removed the RI link on the article. The problem with your addition to the disambiguation page was that there was no mention of the term RI on the target page that you linked to. There is no reason to add an entry to a disambiguation page ithout an article that specifically mentions the term. It can be confusing, but I encourage you to read the content at MOS:DABENTRIES.
