Why did you change the Hip Hop Template?
[edit]Why don't you think Rap metal is a form of Rap rock? Heavy metal is a genre of rock music. Could you please revert the changes you made (and put punk rap under the rap rock section)? 2600:6C5A:417F:794E:C989:99AB:8A0C:D7A5 (talk) 20:57, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
- Incidentally, the article says that rap metal is a subgenre of alternative metal. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 22:00, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
- That's not mutually exclusive with being a subgenre of rap rock. 2600:6C5A:417F:794E:C489:1DED:A8EC:8813 (talk) 00:00, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- And as I told you before, swing revival is a mix of jazz and rock without being a subgenre of jazz fusion. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 03:11, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

Invitation
[edit]Hello RockabillyRaccoon!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
- We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

"Friedman originally found cult fame as a outlaw country singer" - where is this mentioned in the source?`--FMSky (talk) 17:35, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Why do you keep removing sourced content from articles? RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 17:38, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Cause you do seem to have some difficulties in interpreting sources correctly, at least thats what it seems like --FMSky (talk) 17:47, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- No, you don't read the sources, remove sourced content and then argue with me. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 17:48, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- why do you insist in removing longstanding genres in articles? if you want to add additional ones, fine, but why completely remove genres that have been there for years? --FMSky (talk) 17:49, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Why are you constantly accusing me of pushing POV for adding clearly sourced statements? RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 17:54, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- i dont even think you do that on purpose, i know your edits are in good faith, you just have a tendency to replace genres (often multiple ones) with a single specific one you came across in a source, even when most other sources would describe the genres as something else --FMSky (talk) 17:58, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Lumpy Gravy into Lumpy Gravy (1967 album). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 03:14, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

August 2023
[edit]Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Not in Kansas Anymore, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 11:33, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
This is a misunderstanding based on a dispute with another editor. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 11:40, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 11:43, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
How do you plan to resolve the dispute if unblocked? Keep the dispute resolution policy in mind when answering. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:41, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- The user doesnt even acknowledge other users. Multiple users have tried to talk to him about his persistent genre editing, but the talk page just gets cleared https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:RockabillyRaccoon&action=history --FMSky (talk) 11:43, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- FMSky has repeatedly provoked me by genre warring, and then falsely accusing me of doing what they did. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 11:45, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Tu quoque doesn't work here; the block is about your behavior, not others'. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:45, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Then why is Mini-Hitler still harassing me after he got me falsely blocked? RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 11:46, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'll let that stay there without removing it, so it's immediately obvious why your talk page access was revoked, unless FMSky objects to me doing so. The comment above about your talk page's history seems helpful for determining whether the block reason is accurate and if unblocking would be reasonable. It does not cross a line to harassment, which Special:Diff/1171161623 however arguably did (WP:UP#CMT). Again, the block is about your behavior, not others'. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
