@Samtar: As you suggested, I have created this page for mentoring. There are a lot of ways we could proceed, but one option would be to further develop two articles you created: Church of Saint Winwaloe, Gunwalloe and Roccat Browser. They are both good starts, but I can see some improvements that are needed in the style, and we may be able to find more content. How does that sound? - I think that would be a good idea. I'm quite proud of Church of Saint Winwaloe, Gunwalloe, and it's nice to see other editors getting involved with it. samtar (msg) 15:49, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- It's a good start but not a good start. I recommend that you look at some GA's on churches (see, for example, this list). Then withdraw the GA nomination.
- On a more positive note, you have some quality content, a good infobox and good sources. You could definitely develop this into a DYK submission, and you have about three days to do it: according to the eligibility criteria, you can submit it within seven days of the creation of the article. But don't submit until it's ready!
- Let's consider tools first. Look for DYK check under Tools in your sidebar, and if you have it, click on it when you're at Church of Saint Winwaloe, Gunwalloe. That will give you some idea of what needs doing. Also, I don't know whether you use the standard Wikipedia editor. If you do, look at the top menu in your edit window. Do you see Cite? - I've withdrawn the nomination after viewing those articles.
- DYK looks interesting! I didn't actually know DYK articles have to be new, three days to increase the prose seems like a nice challenge.
- DYK check seems to show a couple of areas which need improvement, namely the prose length. I do see Cite, though I also have ProveIt. samtar (msg) 16:38, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with Provelt, but having some tool like that or using citation templates directly is a good way of ensuring that the citations have a consistent citation style; see also what information to include. Hint, hint. RockMagnetist(talk) 16:48, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

- Something I've noticed about myself recently: I think I have a bit of a habit of rushing/wishing things would happen all at once. See my very similar GA nom which obviously didn't work out. Hmmm. samtar (msg) 16:50, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- Fortunately, the reviewer was nice about it. As the GA page points out, only about 1 in 218 articles are GA-class, and some of those were passed in a more lenient era and would probably fail a reassessment. The difficulty depends on the scope of the article too; I have been working on History of Earth intermittently, and I don't know if I'll ever make it to the end! I would recommend not even thinking about GA for a while until you have done more work on content. RockMagnetist(talk) 17:00, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

- @Samtar: One day left to submit a DYK for Church of Saint Winwaloe, Gunwalloe. RockMagnetist(talk) 15:55, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
