About referencing

[edit]

Hi Rob, I'm Diderot's dreams. I wanted to remind you that when information has been removed as unsourced it must be sourced if readded. This means, at a minimum, a specific pointer to a reliable source that shows what is claimed. It's better if citation is formatted within the <ref> tag, but it is the verifiability that is essential. You may want to read up on the verifiability rules. Thanks! Diderot's dreams (talk) 23:20, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will see if someone can remove our entire discussion on the article talk page to prevent exploitation of the audioport link. Only an administrator can do this. Of course, if someone else questions that Pacifica is syndicating the program, there will be no ref. If there was some public way to reference the info that would be great. I was thinking if you could find Hartmann saying this on a older show that is archived at somewhere freely accessible (White Rose Society?) that could be the ref. I've edited out the links information from the talk page, so the link is only available by accessing an old version of the talk page from the page history. I think that's probably good enough and maybe what you had in mind.
After looking into the who and how of deleting the history, it seems the appropriate place to request removing the discussion is Requests for Oversight. It looks like a pretty serious place, people who have some very serious privacy problems go there. You would need to do this yourself, since you're the person with the privacy, etc. issue. You're welcome. I also erased the reference to it in your last comment to reduce the chance of someone digging thru the history to find the link. Diderot's dreams (talk) 22:05, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
