January 2023
[edit]Hi RobloxUser4125! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Casino Regina that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300 (talk) 19:13, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks for the term. The only minor edit I added was adding a adjacent stations template in the reference section for the Canadian Pacific Railway mainline, which has served Regina Union Station. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 19:15, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Louisville and Nashville Depot. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 22:15, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, I didn't know that and I won't do it again until the review says the article is approved. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 23:31, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
Montreal–Saint John
[edit]Just wondering, I was reviewing the table on this Canadian Pacific timetable, Saint John appears to be on the same route towards Wells River, and Montreal–Wells River is already in the template. Was there another reason this isn't a duplicate? Cards84664 22:33, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry for that. I thought the Wells River route was a different route than the Saint John route. But are you able to add the Wells River route adjacent stations template to some of the stations on the Route? Such as the Farndale, Quebec station and the McAdam station? RobloxUser4125 (talk) 23:32, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- (Update) Just founded out that the Montreal-Wells river route actually doesn't follow the whole Montreal-Saint John Route. I put the Montreal-Saint John route as a part of a missing adjacent stations template for the Atlantic (train). So apparently, can I keep it the same since the Wells River route splits from the Montreal-Saint John route? RobloxUser4125 (talk) 00:10, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Ooh nevermind, I confused St. Johns with St. John Cards84664 04:09, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Its fine. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 15:04, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- The lines and tables appear to converge on McAdam station, so I placed the termini there. Cards84664 21:38, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Alr, thats fine for me. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 22:32, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

RobloxUser4125 (talk) 14:37, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Alright, thanks for seeing my work on Tucumcari Union Station. I will add more sources tho, and I have more sources to where I got the info on the external links page. (UPDATE)I added more info to one of the pages, mainly the 1926 station building section. Bryson City Depot
[edit]Since you appear knowledgeable about rail history, I wonder if you have any sources or information for the Bryson City Depot. I plan to create an article for it and I do not have much to go on beyond it was built by Southern Railway in the late 1800s and now operated by the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. It is unique, being an active station for only a heritage/scenic service with no other stops, but I believe a article should exist for it nonetheless. Thank you. --WashuOtaku (talk) 20:09, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- I could check for that, Ima try to find any sources for your page. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 20:31, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Washuotaku:
- I found some sources about the rail line and the dpot itself. Here's all that I saw so far. Also a fact, passenger services before the GSMR ended on July 16. 1948.
- Sources I found:
- https://ncarchitects.lib.ncsu.edu/buildings/B003594 (some info about when it was built)
- https://theplateaumag.com/the-thing-about-trains (some info about the line that served the depot) RobloxUser4125 (talk) 20:40, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. Also, is it possible to setup a service for the Great Smoky Mountains Railway similar to the one found at the Santa Fe Depot (Santa Fe, New Mexico) for Sky Railway? The trains do go to Andrews and Dillsboro, but do not actually pick-up people at those locations (no active stations), they just break there and then return back to Bryson City. --WashuOtaku (talk) 16:23, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, I had fun helping out. You can make the service if you want. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 16:25, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- FYI, I officially created the article. I'm sure it needs more work, but believe have enough to warrant the article's existence. --WashuOtaku (talk) 16:52, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Yea, but I think you can move the page (change the title) to Bryson City station. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 17:09, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- How about just creating that as a redirect since it is promoted as the Bryson City Depot. I do not want to be conflicting. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:13, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Alr, thats fine for me. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 17:13, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Created "Bryson City station" redirect. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:18, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Alright. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 17:21, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

Texas & Pacific
[edit]If you're not busy, can you split the Texas & Pacific lines into its own Module? T&P had its own timetables until 1960. T&P lines are displayed on the Missouri Pacific map but they're listed again in the railway guide under Texas & Pacific (page 932).Cards84664 15:36, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Mapping
[edit]@RobloxUser4125: I note you are mapping CP and CN lines. You gave as an example the Winnipeg-Churchill train route. Based on my recollections, the current route is different from the earlier route on that line. Not sure how that should be expressed. On your more general question on how to find Canadian timetables, dozens of online versions are available for free, but if you want to more easily grasp the big picture, I would recommend the Canadian section of http://www.railwaystationlists.co.uk Although I personally use actual timetables for WP citations, I have 100 per cent confidence in the above website. DMBanks1 (talk) 18:18, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Alright, I used a timetable from notable editor @Cards84664 which I used, but yes I am mapping out some Canadian routes, especially the CN and CP lines, especially the pre-1990 Canadian. And I will try using that link soon. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 18:34, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- @RobloxUser4125: Online timetables covering the dying days of CP and CN passenger services and the early life of Via Rail (ie. 1965 to 1990s) are less common. The only source I'm aware of for that period is https://pre.timetableworld.com/ttw-viewer?token=e25f29cd-61ce-47a4-b8c8-ae5eaae2ed6f Peruse the respective sections containing the Official Guide, VIA, CP, and CN. You may also find the Maps section helpful. I have a reasonable knowledge of the railroad history of British Columbia and can probably answer most questions on that subject or at least point in the right direction. DMBanks1 (talk) 19:30, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yea, but Cards again has found some of these rare timetables, even the pre-1990 ones. Alright, one question to ask. Are you able to do an adjacent stations template for the Pacific great Eastern Railway during it's peak service period (most stops on a route and most passenger routes at the peak before decline)? RobloxUser4125 (talk) 20:15, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

- @RobloxUser4125: Pre-1965 online timetables are not rare for CP but are not as plentiful for CN. For PGE, I am only aware of 3 online timetables. For specific WP articles, I've scrounged copies of sections of PGE timetables from collectors and used the Official Guides to fill in gaps. You are no doubt aware PGE was renamed BC Rail. For the Cariboo Prospector, http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=48530 represents its peak presence south of Prince George. The Official Guides likely have its brief passenger presence north of Prince George. Sorry, I don't do templates. DMBanks1 (talk) 21:16, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
