Story

[edit]

If first person accounts like yours have never been published then I encourage you to think about writing a memoir of your experience, or interesting another writer in it, or somehow getting it published in print or on the web. This would serve many purposes - recording it so we can use it in Wikipedia, getting it off your chest, contributing to a full and true history, balancing the "authorized publicity", and drawing a picture of an interesting, charismatic and flawed leader - just to give a generic list. Sources on people like Anderson tend to be scarce unless there's been some special scandal or event that atracts law enforcement or the media, so you could probably make a significant contribution to the literature. Please write down your story and please do stay around to help with Wikipedia- just please keep the two activities separate. You can use your personal knowledge to help you know what sources to look for, and what events, facts, or opinions should be sourced and included. I really can't say it better than what's written in "no original research". Cheers, -Willmcw 05:24, August 8, 2005 (UTC)

Ads not welcome

[edit]

Talk pages are not the place for solicitations of any kind. Talk pages are designed to discuss the articles. Please refrain from placing adverts in these pages. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thanks. Please become acquainted with Wikipedia policies. --ZappaZ 04:55, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Here are a few good links that my help you:

Externals

[edit]

Your continued insertion of externals into Wikipedia is not welcome. Please see WP:NOT and Wikipedia:Spam. If you'd like to contribute to Wikipedia, please focus your energy on editing article text rather than continually inserting externals into our articles. Wikipedia isn't a link site or a directory, and although we permit externals, we primarly intend them to be used to link to references, authortative sites, and other notiable locations. If you continue to advertise websites via Wikipedia you will be blocked from editing. 24.165.233.150 09:33, 4 September 2005 (UTC) ... (A little later, after looking more at your edit history) I'm sorry for coming off so harsh above... You still need to cut out adding the externals, but it seems you know a good deal about cults and have probably done a lot of research. I think there is probably a lot of opportunity to contribute to our works on the subject... but please do so in the form of text rather than links! Thanks! --24.165.233.150 10:02, 4 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Two-dogs-1 small.jpg has been listed for deletion

[edit]
An image or media file you uploaded, Image:Two-dogs-1 small.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Image Tagging Image:ARIES.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ARIES.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Arnie587 23:48, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work! I much prefer this to the old grey globe logo. Cheers, -Willmcw 06:50, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mark small.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 15:36, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Me101.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Me101.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 19:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
