Lotti article
[edit]Hello, thank you for writing this article! I have a few concerns about it and wanted to discuss them with you:
- I’m a bit concerned that this company might not be notable enough to qualify for a Wikipedia article. That link goes to a guide, but basically any coverage of a company on here is supposed to be based on being covered in reliable sources, like newspapers, in the form of full articles and not just things like business listings.
- A lot of it reads like a press release or promotional copy, not a factual encyclopaedia article.
Are there any extra citations you can add from reliable sources like news articles about this company demonstrating that it's notable? (Those are links to guides explaining this in more detail.) I'm concerned since the article may get deleted otherwise. Let me know if you have any thoughts or questions about this. Blythwood (talk) 13:23, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have to echo Blythwood above. I believe that the company is probably notable, given how long it has been in business and that it has a significant presence in its field, but the article is very promotional in nature, and contains wording that implies that you, as the author, may be affiliated with the company. Your user name does suggest this, with the initials GFL, and I see other picture files used in the article were uploaded by "GFL Marketing," suggesting that we are looking at conflict of interest. Editors should not really be editing or writing articles on companies or persons with which they are very closely affiliated due to neutrality concerns. I could not find copyright violation in the form of copy-and-pasted text, although the article contains passages that read strongly as if copied verbatim from press releases or publicity material. Please note that in its current state, the article is at risk of deletion for being too promotional, even though the subject is probably notable. Mabalu (talk) 03:54, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
