Too early
[edit]It's quite early to have this page available. Island92 (talk) 16:27, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted, but returned, since it is almost mid 2023 season and a lot news for 2024 are coming, so 2024 page is needed now. --85.187.46.96 (talk) 08:02, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- Can you provide some examples. Because I follow F1 news reasonable closely and have not seen anywhere near enough for WP:SIGCOV to be satisfied. SSSB (talk) 08:36, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- If I were to try and write an article on 2024 now, I would include the loss of AlphaTauri ([1]), reversion of Alfa Romeo to Sauber ([2]), the changes in technical regulations for 2024 ([3]), and then obviously driver contracts ([4]) and known race contracts. I'm not convinced we need an article just yet, but news is starting to trickle through. 5225C (talk • contributions) 09:07, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- Right. The "loss" of AlphaTauri (rebranding is more accurate) and reversion of Alfa don't make this article meet WP:SIGCOV, as those articles discuss the team, primarily, and the season is just a secondary thing, same arguement applies to venue and driver contracts. we can't use primary sources to determine sigcov. SSSB (talk) 16:11, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- The calendar has been announced, today, so that likely warrants a page. Lustigson (talk) 14:30, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed. all the press around the provisional calendar means that WP:SIGCOV clearly satisfied. I'll create it later if I find the time and no one beats me to the punch. SSSB (talk) 15:29, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
