Dio disciples/Dio returns
[edit]What are your opinions on documenting DIO Disciples and DIO Returns members on the List of Dio members page? From my understanding, the disciples just kept performing, as what was remaining of the band when RJD died. Then it seems that most of those same members are playing as Dio Returns for the current hologram tour. Last in Line might be worth mentioning too. Hell if I know.DLManiac (talk) 08:35, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
@DLManiac: Tbh I have no care about the hologram thing. While I think it’s a cool experiment. I can admit that it’s not something I wanna see. It’s not the real deal and it never will be. Like marking a Hologram Cliff Burton, Darrel and Vinnie Abbott, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Elvis Presley And so fourth. Seeing the hologram isn’t worth it for me. A.R.M. 15:10, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
@DLManiac: I can say it’s your choice really. I’m not sure if this whole hologram counts as a band. But for me it’s mostly entertainment and not really about Dio. Which is fine. But for someone who played on Bands such as Elf, Rainbow and Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell. Most likely not, while making a new page or something. I’m going to say this. Your decision is up to you. A.R.M. 15:16, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
I honestly don't know how I vandalized anything..
[edit]The Detours had 2 rhythm guitarists in 1961-2, one being replaced by Townshend, as stated by thewhothismonth.com. Under January 1962 it reads:
On the 15th, Roger Daltrey submits an application for The Detours to audition for the BBC Light Entertainment. The band members are listed as "Solo guitar - Roger Daltrey, Bass guitar - John Empwhistle, Rhythm guitar - Peter James, Rhythm guitar - Roy Ellis, Drums - Harry Wilson, Vocalist - Colin Dawson."
Pete Townshend later notes this month as the one where he successfully auditions for The Detours.

XFL
[edit]There is a difference between "suspending operations" and "ceasing operations". At the moment, it appears the XFL has only "suspended" operations, meaning there is still a chance they will resume at some point. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:53, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Band timelines
[edit]@ARMcgrath: About those timeline edits...I'm just trying to adhere to the sample shown in the guide here. According to the sample, the gray background isn't shown, but is easy/fast to read/follow. Therefore, if the chart is readable without the gray, it's just extra coding that could lead to potential for error. It's filler coding. Should a line be added to the guide that states something like: "Gray backgrounds shall be placed behind ALL band member bars." so there's a standard for ALL timelines henceforth? Thoughts? Right now, it seems that the guides aren't being adhered to and it's based on personal preference. CYAce01 (talk) 03:22, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
@CYAce01: I get this completely on your side. I’ll leave most on preference. Also I gotta say your very reasonable here. Well then again. You seem to know what your doing. A.R.M. 04:12, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Baltimore Orioles (1901–02) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Baltimore Orioles (1901–02), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
This "article" has no content other than an infobox, and no citations. Not ready for main space. Netherzone (talk) 00:20, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

- @ARMcgrathUnfortunately I'm not a Wikipedia expert but as far as I have understood the process of deleting a redirect you propose its deletion as a RfD (Request for Deletion, which I have done) and if there are no objections within a week 'someone' will delete the redirect. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. WPscatter t/c 06:53, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
@Wpscatter: uhhhhhh what. The orioles have playing in the American League since 1900 when it was a minor leauge as the Brewers. What are you taking about unconstructed. Look at the teams pages and all that. That was not a vandalism edit or anything for that matter. A.R.M. 16:16, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- The section of the infobox you edited says "Major League affiliations". The AL wasn't part of the Major League until 1901. WPscatter t/c 18:20, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

April 2023
[edit]Your recent editing history at List of Lynyrd Skynyrd members shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. KMFDM members
[edit]Hi, thanks for reorganizing the members page for KMFDM. It looks good. But I just wanted to point out 2 things, for future reference: don't use the minus/subtract sign for timespans (-). Instead use the dash (–). Pretty much all of Wikipedia tries to use – instead of -. Also, be sure to italicize album titles. Other than that, it all seems good. Your draft article, Draft:Rock Nalle
[edit]Hello, ARMcgrath. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Rock Nalle".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted.
