January 2014

[edit]

I see that you attempted to move a page to User:CustomerXPs Software Pvt. Ltd. However, there is no such user as "CustomerXPs Software Pvt. Ltd", so there is no case for creating a user page under that title. Perhaps you meant to move it to CustomerXPs Software Pvt. Ltd. If so, apart from the questionability of moving a page from another editor's userspace, there is also the fact that the page, although considerably toned down from early drafts, is still somewhat promotional, and it is doubtful whether it is suitable as an article. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:43, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Since writing the message above, I have seen more of the history of your editing, and of the editing of the user account Jitheshcxps. I have discovered, amongst other things:

  1. The account Jitheshcxps not only had a history of attempting to use Wikipedia as a free advertising service, and even stated that his or her intention was to do so. ("Since we are a private company and a small one at that, we are trying to get credible visibility via channels like Wikipedia especially from a recruitment perspective since we're hiring quite aggressively this year.")
  2. The page you tried to move was a re-creation of a page that had been deleted as a result of unambiguous consensus at a deletion discussion. Attempting to unilaterally overturn consensus by ignoring it and re-creating a deleted page is disruptive and unacceptable.
  3. The account Rivivar1234 has also been used for the creation of unambiguously promotional material for the same business as Jitheshcxps, and that material has been deleted.

It is essential that you, and anybody else who may consider trying to use Wikipedia to promote or publicise your business, grasp the following point. Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Your draft article, User:Rivivar1234/sandbox

[edit]

Hello Rivivar1234. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Rivivar1234/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 14:41, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating Wikipedia's terms of use by engaging in undisclosed paid editing and using Wikipedia for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am a paid employee for the company and new to editing Wikipedia. I am sorry for not disclosing the employment as I didn't know I was supposed to disclose the employment. [1]

Decline reason:

Thanks. That isn't sufficient, of course. Even with paid disclosure, your contributions were completely inappropriate. You will not be unblocked to write about that company, or about anything else for which you have a conflict of interest. Yamla (talk) 13:12, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Please highlight any content that is promotional and we will review it. All content mentioned on the page have the relevant syndicated 3rd party content links. Regarding the user account - I, being the CEO of the company and a salaried employee, have not been exclusively paid to create content for our company page. Request you to unblock basis that we are doing this as our own independent initiative. Rivivar1234 (talk) 05:59, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are a paid editor and must comply with WP:PAID. If you are the CEO, ultimately everything that occurs in the company is your responsibility. You don't have to be specifically paid to edit Wikipedia. As Yamla noted, your contributions were wholly inappropriate and will not be permitted to continue. If you are only interested in editing about your company, you will not be unblocked. If you want to be a general Wikipedia contributor and edit about subjects not related to your conflict of interest, you may make another request and state what subjects those might be along with specifically agreeing to not edit in the areas of your conflict of interest. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:43, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Thank you 331dot for clarifying. I would like to state that there seems to have been an unintentional conflict of interest while updating the stub[1], resulting in an inadvertent violation of Wikipedia policy / guidelines on paid contribution undisclosed paid editing. I am currently in the best position to update the stub[2] given my knowledge about this particular company. As regards contributing to other Wikipedia pages, I would like to contribute to pages on artificial intelligence and machine learning in fintech. "I am currently in the best position to update the stub given my knowledge about this particular company." No. No no no. WP:COI, WP:PAID. You are literally in the worst position to update the stub, as we've told you over and over again. Talk page access revoked due to WP:IDHT. --Yamla (talk) 14:04, 14 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-Administrator-Comment) No, No, No, No. Thats not yust a policy, that you need to declare any paid edits. That ist Section 4 of the Terms of Use of Wikipedia. So you barely violate the terms of use, which means that we can block you at any time. Further, it means, that if you dont provide a very good reason how you will continiue editing, as above, then there is no reason for unblocking you.
