However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:White, b, w RRE logo 092120.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:White, b, w RRE logo 092120.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:01, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on "River Road Entertainment", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ Amkgp 💬 18:09, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:13, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am employed by River Road Entertainment/Pohlad Companies (employer) as an office manager/assistant (affiliation). I am updating information about our company’s (River Road Entertainment) (the client), films and projects and receive financial compensation, as part of my job is to keep data up to date. However, my entries are not promotional but rather all factual information that applies to the film and entertainment business, international film festival and award show data, professional credits and dates of film releases. I will only post encyclopedic information. I understand my prior username and contributions were flagged as promotional, I will only be contributing facts. If I am unblocked I will make edits incorporating film data and business, film festival and award show data, professional credits.@HickoryOughtShirt?4: @331dot: It's hard for me to understand why I'm still blocked. I feel that I've tried everything to convince you that I under stand my mistakes and that I'm eager to be a meaningful contributor. I don't understand why I'm still blocked. I've asked kindly many times to be unblocked now that I understand the rules. I would really appreciate it if you could unblock my account or at least tell me what I need to do to get there? I'm trying to understand but this is becoming very frustrating and I would really appreciate a response. (Hjhfilm (talk) 21:47, 3 November 2020 (UTC)) 21:46, 3 November 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Decline reason:

Your choice of new username seems to be acceptable. However, please review conflict of interest and paid editing and explain how you will contribute information consistent with those policies, and describe any topics unrelated to your COI that you might edit about. The language of your draft was very promotional(especially the first paragraph) and if that's what we can expect from you, you will need to remain blocked. I am declining your request at this time. 331dot (talk) 09:01, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

yes I have reviewed both pages and disclosed all of my affiliations above, following all the guidelines for a paid editor. I will not be making promotional posts like what was posted before. Only encyclopedic, factual posts that help contribute knowledge and data to the entertainment business, film credits and award show data. I will not use language that suggests any competitive edge or that is promotional. I will simply stick to facts and information that can be validated with reliable sources. I'm eager to be unblocked so I can start contributing, now that I know more about the kind of language and input that is appropriate. RiverRoadEnt (talk) 20:18, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your deleted article reads like the spam that I delete every day from my email inbox. I doubt that you're capable of writing within our policies if you think that sort of writing is acceptable in an encyclopedia. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:35, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@HickoryOughtShirt?4: Please let me know if there's additional steps I should take to be unblocked? I've read the Wikipedia policy pages you suggested and I've reviewed the policies on paid editing, promotional content and standards and expectations. I've disclosed my affiliations (I am employed by River Road Entertainment/Pohlad Companies (employer) as an office manager/assistant (affiliation). I will only post encyclopedic information.) I understand my prior contributions were promotional in their language, that will not happen again. I will only be contributing facts. If I am unblocked I will make edits incorporating film data and business, film festival and award show data, professional credits. I understand why my mistake was harmful to the community and that I will not make that mistake again. I'm looking forward to contributing meaningful and verifiable content Hjhfilm (talk) 16:46, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for renaming my account, I appreciate it.

I've removed the unblock request formatting, as you only need one open request. Subsequent comments should be standard, unformatted comments. 331dot (talk) 08:09, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Okay, what else can I do to show I understand so that I can be unblocked? I've done all the reading and tried to address my wrongs above. Can I please be unblocked now? (Hjhfilm (talk) 21:47, 3 November 2020 (UTC))[reply]
