For your information, while the ae ligature represents a separate letter in Old English and modern Danish, for example, in Latin it is simply an orthographic variant of the separate letters. The ligature should not be used in spellings of Latin words. Given your recent edit history you appear to be an experienced editor working under a recent alias.
