Speedy deletion nomination of Funky Dee
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Funky Dee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:44, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Deliberately misleading content
[edit]Please remove the fake "You have new messages" message from the top of this page. While deliberately wasting the time of other users may amuse you, it is not a legitimate part of the use of Wikipedia. If you want a reference to a guideline relating to this then you may like to see WP:SMI, though in my opinion such a reference should not be needed. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:49, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

MOTD's State of Emergency + 1st of May's Motto
[edit]As you probably already know, we are facing some problems at MOTD. I am personally monitoring all the nominations on a daily basis and I'm finding very difficult to aprove the motto for the next day. The number of nominations has grown significantly, but even then it seems not enough. Please, if you have time, take a look at the nominations. And, if you like some of them but you think they are not good enough for being approved because of the set of links or and etcetera, please, try to improve them where it is possible. At this rate, I fear that we will see the end of the project. Thanks in advance.
I have also added a special nomination for this Sunday, 1st of May (International Workers' Day or May Day). Please, take a look at it if you can.
All the best. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 15:06, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
P.S.: I'm sorry to bother you again, but take a look at this if you can. Once again, thank you. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 18:28, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'm here again to bother you (again and again... sorry). Things seem to go much better at MOTD, right now. THANK YOU!!!
The reason why I'm writing you is the following: next Sunday (8th of May) is Mother's Day. I know that it is celebrated on different days around the world, but I'd love if we could (and are able to) make our "very-little" contribution in honour of all the mothers in the world. For the upcoming 8th of May (Sunday) there is already a motto in schedule, but I think that we can move the motto approved for that day to another date and to put one about mothers in place of it. Here is my nomination.
Thank you in advance and all the best! –pjoef (talk • contribs) 12:51, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
The article North Home Counties Sunday Football League has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable competition
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:12, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Hello! My name is Belugaboy, and by now, you and I both have heard of the Motto Shop, and if not, there's a Motto Shop! It's an exclusive place where users can get their own motto to live by on the wiki. It's great, but we're really running slow, in fact, we haven't seen a customer in months. So we thought YOU, the contributors to Motto of the Day, could spread the word to your WikiFriends, heck, order yourself one, whether you have or haven't before. - Ah OK, thanks. I'm not sure if it is just my monitor, but the 3rd kit on the historical kits page is a sort of deep red, but on the WBAFC Wikipedia page looks like a sort of "T-mobile magenta" or dark pink(!) We might need to adjust the shade a little. --Jameboy (talk) 21:24, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Kits and logos
[edit]Hi, I just wanted to inform you that logos on kits are not allowed so please stop adding kits with logos. Sometimes there is a reason why we dont have kits on some articles. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 16:14, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Qed237: I don't recall using logos in any of the kits I have updated. I use this solely. There may have been a manufacturer logo once or twice from using the specially-made codes of other kits that happen to match. However, I will keep this in mind for the future, thank you. --RichardOwen97 (talk) 13:27, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

Dunfermline Athletic kit
[edit]Hi Richard, today you adjusted the kit for Dunfermline Athletic F.C., specifically the sleeves of the home kit. I can see you made a similar edit back on 26 July 2015 and I just wanted to make it clear that the sleeves of the home kit for this season are halved black and white, and not black and white striped as your edits suggest. The images from this article which was posted on the club's website today, shows that the edits you have made are incorrect. I presume the edits were made in good faith, but I just wanted to advise you on the correct pattern for future reference. Thanks :) Exxy (talk) 23:24, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Exxy: Oh, so it is :) The reference I use, the sleeves look the same striped and halved; so as the body was striped, I assumed the sleeves were too. I don't remember the first edit; I go through every British kit now and then for updates so the thinking is more robotic than human, haha. Thank you :) --RichardOwen97 (talk) 13:30, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi RichardOwen97,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:LutonOldBoys.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:LutonOldBoys.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
