Hello. I wanted to let you know why I deleted the article you created. I can't find articles about other stakes in Wikipedia, and there doesn't appear to be anything notable about this stake. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 05:33, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Charles A. Hurley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable person. Not possible to find independent, reliable sources that provide significant coverage outside of a press release.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mrmatiko (talk) 13:54, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The deleted article on "Chuck Hurley" was about "Charles Whitney Hurley" a "video game designer and producer". He's received no coverage I can find. Fences&Windows 19:11, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You need to improve your reading of sources before you edit, let alone create, articles about living people. Confusing the Chuck Hurley who used to head MADD with the Chuck Hurley who runs the Iowa Family Policy Center is really very poor work. Such editing is careless and potentially damaging to the subjects of the articles. Fences&Windows 21:26, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
