SPI Mistake
[edit]- Ricardo1701 I apologize for including you in the Sock-puppet investigation. I was using my iPad and it looked like you had only made contributions to that discussion and were a days old account. Once the Check-user was declined, I removed you and two others who were obviously not new accounts. You can see the Diff from when I opened the SPI and when the Check user was declined here.
I'm certainly not trying to fight anyone who wants to voice their opinion about a deletion, my main concern was the previous sock-puppetry on MMA AfD's and the obvious WP:CANVASSING and WP:MEAT issues on that and other AfD's.
If you or anyone else wants to explain What makes one of those fights significant that I can add to the article and cite from a non MMA only source, I will gladly do so. Seriously, Just point me in the right direction and I'll do the hard work. Other than that , I and others just feel the MMA events that are not "game changers" and cannot be described with any prose or demonstration of lasting significance, belong on the omnibus for the year. No one is trying to wipe MMA off Wikipedia.
Again, sorry, and I'm glad you removed the user message about the SPI before I got a chance to. I will probably cross post this on other users pages, but I don't mean it any less, I just don't have time to be this thorough on every page today, and I want to apologize sooner than later.Newmanoconnor (talk) 20:01, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- I thank you for apologizing, I saw in the request that you removed me before the case was closed, as you were editing with the IPad, everybody makes mistakes, so, no problem with that.
- I see that are some users that don't belive that no MMA Event meets the criteria to remain on the wiki, but I and others belive that some, not all, does have lasting effect(it is noticed worldwide, it's noticed not only on MMA sites, but almost every news site, at least in Brazil, an a lot of other things), I know that there is a discussion going in WP:MMANOT, if I have any relevant argument, I will comment there, but I'm most likely just watch the process.
