Days of the Year articles
[edit]Yes. All Days of the Year entries now have to be accompanied by a citation from a reliable source to back up the date. This is because so many of them were found to be wrong. The new rule was introduced about 18 months ago and it will take a long time to get the existing entries sorted out, but no new ones are allowed unless they comply. That'll be why yours was removed. Recent deaths
[edit]I see that you added an entry without an article. Please write a well-sourced article soon, or it will not stay. Red links are only acceptable if the subject has an article which may be in a different language. Your implication that we differentiate American and English is wrong and not helpful. - apologies Gerda Arendt - the original person who deleted the entry was very rude ... had he not been rude I might have respected his decision, as it is because he was rude I needed to challenge his decision. - Please keep things simple and factual, - English is not my first language. I deal with Recent deaths A LOT. Subjects need to have an article, period. You can't expect people to check your history and see that you are rather new and don't know that. Look at the article below, which was written and is still threatened with deletion for being not "notable". This has nothing to do with American vs. English, and your references to that distinction are no testimony of Good Faith which in case of doubt should prevail. Summary: you are free to write an article about the person who died. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
