Please note that with AKAs, the legal name is given first, then the assumed name, after AKA. Please check your spelling before making changes. There are 40 or 50 spelling errors you have made over time on various pages. You are trying to make the wiki better, no doubt but think first before accusing others of vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.18.200 (talk) 18:51, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Dear PRIF102169, please, with all due respect, leave the "Sabrina" page alone for a while. It has done so well without you for the past years, we don't understand your current extreme level of interest. No disrespect is intended at all. Your movie The Ring is amazing. Keep up the good work.
Is this better? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.18.200 (talk) 22:59, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Well taken, but you make many changes from IP addresses rather than from Red Dragon. How does it look now? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.18.200 (talk) 01:09, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ClaytonForrester.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ClaytonForrester.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Why did you delete Sabrina Fair? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.211.19.169 (talk) 07:27, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Disambiguation pages are meant to help with navigation. A disambiguation page for "Sabrina" does not need listings for things like "Sabrina Fair". No one would say "Sabrina" when they mean "Sabrina Fair", unlike all the other listings. Someone might very well mean "Sabrina, the Teen-Age Witch" when they type in "Sabrina". Please see MOS:DAB#Examples_of_individual_entries_that_should_not_be_created.
- As for not putting the link first, please see MOS:DAB#Red_links.
- Please, if you have questions about my changes, ask then before you revert me again. It is obvious that you have not yet read MOS:DAB, I would suggest that you do so. Most of your questions would be answered if you simply took the time to understand how disambiguation pages are meant to work. Rhindle The Red (talk) 13:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
RE: Batman (disambiguation)
[edit]It is tagged so members of WP:WPDIS can stop by and align the page better. I'm not implying that you or others didn't do so great a job, in fact, the page is pretty much in tip-top shape. I see periods in unneeded places, descriptions which needs shortening, an entry that is supposed to be on the very top, etc. These kinds of things are best left under the eyes of editors who specialize in formatting dab pages. Understood? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 17:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Superman
[edit]If what you say is true, then the redirect should be deleted per WP:CSD#G6. Care to do the honours or may I? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 21:59, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
RE: Superman X
[edit]I've only watched a few of the episodes so can't quite say. I know they also refer to him as "Kell-El". Maybe having the redirect gone is wise but I made these other edits because JHunterJ (a dab expert) formats in this manner (see his edits to Rinku and Zero gravity (disambiguation) as samples). And we had a discussion about the "[[Redirect]] or Primary name" entry over here. It should be preferred over a sentence with no redirect to avoid confusion. With the exception of the Superman X redirect, may I re-place those changes? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:43, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'll ask J for his thoughts tomorrow, when I'm good and rested. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:25, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Disambiguation pages?Ades opera
[edit]Hi. Can you possibly explain why you are removing links to disambiguation pages - and also why you changed the title of the Ades Temprest opera? It's not clear to me why you are doing this. Thanks. --Kleinzach (talk) 14:35, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- Unless there is more than one opera with the same title, the qualifier "(opera)" is more appropriate than the writer's name. As for the hatnotes, they are only meant to be used when someone may land on a page looking for a different one. If one goes to Tempest (Magic: The Gathering), it's clear they aren't looking for any other "Tempest", hence no need for a hatnote. The same holds true for Macbeth (opera) and the hatnote should be removed. Rhindle The Red (talk) 14:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- Re the Tempest, there is another opera, see The Tempest (Dryden), but in view of its title your change to the other one shouldn't be a major problem. However please communicate with the Opera Project next time you want to change an opera title to avoid misunderstandings. OK!
- I don't agree with you about disambiguation pages. I think you should follow the normal WP practice here. Of course you can put your opinion to the Opera Project editors if you want to pursue this. Thanks and have a nice day! --Kleinzach (talk) 14:56, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Batman OnStar Commercials
[edit]Hello. Why you you keep changing back the information about the batsuit? The batsuit is clearly the George Clooney batsuit from Batman & Robin (film). It is NOT the Val Kilmer suit from "Batman Forever". Here is a pic of the Clooney suit, and here is the suit from the OnStar commercials. The only difference is that the yellow was added to the chest symbol. Here is a pic of the Kilmer 'panther' suit. You be the judge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.171.119.224 (talk) 06:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Only on the show?
[edit]Seems he has made other appearances. See #In comics. Inclusively, the article verifies that he is based on a comic character. If anything, that entry on the dab should have been changed to "media" and not "universe". Thoughts? Please reply on your talk page. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 16:28, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- The comic character appeared in 1986 and only shares the name. He is not the same as the character from the television show and the story in question doesn't even feature the Legion, so unless a version of Superman X appears in one of the main Legion timelines, it would be misleading to refer to him as being from the "Legion of Superheroes universe". "Media" *could* work, but as he has only truly appeared on the show, the text as it stands is best. Rhindle The Red (talk) 17:26, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Mind if I use "media" then per this discussion or should it stay as it is? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:22, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think it should be left as it is. It's slightly longer, but clearer and more accurate, which is what you want on a disambiguation page. Rhindle The Red (talk) 02:31, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Mind if I use "media" then per this discussion or should it stay as it is? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:22, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
You are correct on some things. However, there are several solutions here. We can do something like:
- Superman (disambiguation)#People nicknamed Superman
- Iron Man (disambiguation)#People
- War Machine (disambiguation)
- The Superman dab does not use redirects or the dates for an instance as such. The last two, even Hitler (disambiguation), do, except the Hitler dab also does not give the years. Which method do you find most helpful? I would like to only follow one for each and every disambiguation page. Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 16:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Adventures of Superboy.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Adventures of Superboy.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:01, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Superman Video Games
[edit]I will contribute my bit on the merging, but as to whether I was right or wrong to do so without discussion. Well, I was under the impression that Wikipedia standards say to be bold and initiate the merging yourself. Antiyonder (talk) 06:47, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Was there a reason why you removed the {{clear}} template here?--Rockfang (talk) 03:55, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Just an accident when adding the other tag. Rhindle The Red (talk) 13:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
